I had a car cause i needed a car more then a apartment to be able to get around. That was 4 years ago now because I applied myself and worked hard i own a home with my firstborn on a way. But I got a lucky break who knows if I didn't i could still be homeless. I'm sure you got a lucky break in your life too.

So, while minorities are at the bottom of the scale due to racism and class issues, whites are also subject to the same class system where little to no social mobility can be found. The problem is that the race issues in America keep poor whites and the minorities from coming together to challenge the system.

ok im a recovering drug addict...have been clean since jan 1st 2006....i quit cold turkey...it wasnt THAT hard...i was taking anything i could get my hands on except heroin...i was prolly ganna get into that nasty shit if i hadnt stoped when i did...i was homeless for about a year....how did i get out?....i got a job....i started going back to school...working on my degree in electrical engineering...in california its expensive to live...if you cant afford it move somewhere else...

EVERYONE goes to collage so people can't get a job cause since most people go to collage and get there B.A. most jobs require a B.A. at least. right now were in a situation where we need less people and less immigrants. don't go to collage unless you really want your career.

I feel sad to see this. But I apperiate what you are doing. I agree 100 % with everything you believe in! Lets get these videos around and start helping the homeless. Everytime I see a homeless man or Women I will help out. If its driving them somewhere or money or food I will do my best for them! Karma! its real believe

Ray has it figured out. This could be the face of a Forbe's company CEO. not a homeless man. Why is one man given and one denied based on circumstance. Many people have harder cards to play than the fortunate souls that will never miss a meal.. I was homeless and still borderline..I have a job for now but live in a seasonal area. Shame on the Wealthy that throws a blind eye at his fellow human being. Walk a mile in a homeless persons shoes. Were all only one paycheck away from poverty.bj

the main reason we have so many homeless people is 1. over populated (don't compare us to china) 2. WAY TO MANY IMMIGRANTS, people have like 4, 5, 6 kids thats ridiculous have like 1 or 2 at most. 3. EVERYONE goes to collage so people can't get a job cause since most people go to collage and get there B.A. most jobs require a B.A. at least. right now were in a situation where we need less people and less immigrants. don't go to collage unless you really want your career.

This just goes to show how too many people will choose money over anything, weather it ends up making normal people like this homeless, and possibly screwing them over for life, or in the case of our involvement in other countries, ending a lot of lives outright. People are just fucking douchebags like that you know?

@Bradford621 This country sucks? You have no idea how good you have it. I was nearly homeless 9 years ago (sound familiar)? I applied myself, got a job and saved some money. Now I have a college education, I am a pilot and I own a business. That's what America is all about. This country sucks? Maybe the problem is how you choose to live your life. You have the same opportunities I had. All you have to do is work hard.

@renegadeda20 I was homeless right outta high school my dads 18th birthday gift for me, i got help from some family members and a beautiful girl that ive been married to for 19 years now but i worked hard and have a house and my own business also, your right!

@renegadeda20 The thing that saved you in being able to change your life around and making something of yourself from nothing, is you have the brain, the smarts to do it. Many of the people who are homeless (not counting the drug addicts) have severe mental disabilities that would hold them back from being a pilot, let alone being a cashier to get the money. Nobody WANTS to be homeless.

he is the smartest homeless man i've ever seen , this changed my views on homeless people . now i see some actually have a brain & arent crack heads . im proud & i have faith that he gets his life together & will not be homeless anytime longer .

One thing we should realize people in these situations aren't stupid. This man eloquently put his situation into perspective. We need to fix this, by fixing other problems.

look guys you have no idea, he got him self there by not taking responsability for his actions and future. He can get a job, he could get an apartment, he may need to leave the city first. i could sit here like and ass and list all the ways to get him out of this situation, but it suffices to say that he needs to make a large change in his life to get himself out. He listed all this paperwork with the state agencies and meetings, start there.its not a system problem.
