I always love your hairstyles. I used to have the CHI 44 Iron Guard and I ended up throwing it out just because I hated how it smelled like men's cologne :(
If you feel like you need hair spray but you find that most hairsprays are too heavy, you need to try Kenra. Kenra hair spray is by far the most popular hair spray we sell in my salon.
i know this is an old video, but i wanted to say you should try the got2befat volumizing mousse. i usually HATE drugstore hair products because they dry my hair out as well, but i love that stuff. it's only like $5 and it's awesome, reallyy makes my hair bouncy.
I Love love love, Ojon Pre cleansing treatment, Restorative hair treatment, and their Tawaka shampoo and conditioner, all from Sephora, they are absolutely amazing, leave hair with so much shine, volume...light and silky. I also Love, wholefoods hair care, Kinky curly Knot today leave in, people with all hair types can use it, it's organic and leaves the hair soooooooo soft, Jane carter hair products or Aubrey organics are regulars for me too, all from Wholefoods :)
LoL, I almost bought that but I thought the bottle was ugly and the smell is like a man's cologne, maybe it was made by a man, masculent bottle n smell
The hair care products that I use are the big sexy hair spray and play hairspray, the aussie catch the wave, graneir fructis leave-in conditioner, tresseme natural conditioner, tresseme deep cleansing shampoo, the tresseme hold gel, and the tresseme heat protection spray. I really want to see bed head reviews. And is it possible if you could do a waver tutorial. Thanks!
I dont know if you have heard about it but to me the best shamp/cond is Mane N Tail. Its kinda crazy because you can use it on animals and stuff but its awesome. It puts back moisture into your hair but not so much that it gets oily or anything while also making your hair really smooth and manageable and protects against girly tools and the environment oh and it makes your hair grow faster than normal to keep it fresh as an added bonus. You can get it at Sallys Beauty.
Hair products cannot make your hair grow faster. Your hair follicles have a certain growth rate, which products cannot affect. It may seem like it's growing faster because it's healthier and doesn't have split ends and breakage. Your eating habbits can also effect hair growth.
But anyway, yeah I have heard good things about that shampoo/conditioner. I have never tried it myself though. :P
I absoloutly love Nioxin Scalp Therapy because it makes you're head all tingly and makes your hair really soft and shiny! Oh, and Chi products are the shiz, in my oppinion =]
yeah, because they have sulfates, I do not buy hair products from any drugstore anymore, no matter what country I am in! I really like Kerastase, I am not sure if you have it yet in the USA...
yes, you are right, but they are amazing products nevertheless. You will have to go totally organic in order not to find all these chemicals in hair products, and with my hair being really curly and frizzy, I have to follow the middle road and compromise unfortunately.
I don't mind it, I just thought I'd mention. I love Bain Satin 3 myself, which has SLS and Ciment Thermique, which in loaded with 'cones). Nonetheless I adore both products.
Thats so funny that elnette is just released where you are from. I remember my grandma using it when i was about 7, I have it also, i LOVE it, i just spray a little perfume over it and my hair smells greate :)
the only shampoo/conditioner i like from aveda is the sapmoss. i have tried every product from A to Z mom owns a hair salon, the ones i like most is joico (whole line) and biolage from matrix, drug store aussie moist conditioner and three minute mircle DEEP conditioner gives salon conditoner a run for the money. of course others are good those are my fav.
Agreed, that aveda hair thickener is great and haven't found an equal either in any other product line.
Would love a hair tutorial if you ever have time! Specifically soft curls or a way to do a nice half up hairstyle... that doesn't look 80's. I can't figure that out in my own hair. You're easy to watch and love your product recommendations. Thanks :)
I love Biosilk hair serum, Ojon shampoo and conditioner. They make my so hair shiny and healthy looking : ) Plus a bottle of Biosilk will last you forever!
Wen is fantastic. Learning curve for sure so don't hate it first or second time you use it, but it's wonderful when you figure out how it works best for you. I like Lavender for my kids and Sweet Almond Mint for myself. Fig is great too and so is Cucumber Aloe. So nice! Love ya Lorraine!!
I use Chi silk infusion also, it's good but ive found cheaper that give similar results. Still use it everyday anyways lol. Have you tried CHI Nourish Intense?? I hated it when i first got out of the shower & my hair was wet, it felt coarse & dry & yucky. But when i dried it, complete silk!
Did you ever try Wen cleansing conditioner. You use it as a shampoo and conditioner in one step. It sells on QVC and it is amazing. The tea tree oil is great for itchy, flaky scalp and fig is great for moisturizing and there are others.
Love WEN. I use it every shower and I use it on my kids too. One has straight hair and one has curly (mine is curly) and it works great for all of us.
It took my hairstylest 2.5 cans of hairspray to make my hair curly for prom. The biggest problem here is that I'm so sick of my flat boring straight hair! What products/tools/anything can help me with this?
Is my only option to get a perm? And what will that make my hair look like?
I had the same problem. If i used the same shampoo and conditioner for more than a week straight, my hair would get this wax build up and even if I washed my hair everyday, it looked dirty.
I went to the salon and this woman recommended AG ReNew. Its a Clarifying shampoo which you use once a week and since then? I haven't had to change shampoo or conditioner once. I highly recommend it.
I have semi course hair but it's really straight the layers make it appear to have wave, but it gets greasy in like 1 day, haha. I am going to have to try Biosilk!
I loooooove your vid's and i love your hair even more. What do you tell your hairstylist when you go get it cut? my bf also liked your hair and i want to get it cut the same way. Thanks!
You should try Joico reconstruct shampoo and conditioners they are the best i have used yet especially the deep conditioners. Its expensive but worth it if you have dry hair.
Around 50 a month or less. Ulta always does nice Buy 2 get one Free sales so you can end up getting two shampoos and conditioner and then just have to spend 20 the next month!
I like the Philip B Peppermint and Avocado shampoo. It volumizes and clarifies. Not for everyday but it is very minty and cooling and tingly on the scalp. I splurge and use the Philip B. While Truffle Nourishing Creme Conditioner.
I know that you said that you don't like aveda but they have a volumizing spray that I absolutely ADORE!! Mixing it with the hair potion my hair is super huge without being Dolly Parton looking.
another good product from aveda is Phomollient - it is a miracle!!!! this is a styling foam and it is supposed to add shine and volume. well, didnot notice much of a shine, but it was not my main concern anyways, but it REALY adds volume. HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS PRODUCT (about $14)
did you try B&B gentle shampoo? Its not as emolliant as some of the others-like the creme de cocoa, which is too emollient for daily use-for even thick, dry hair types I think. I have thick wavy colored hair, I only wash every other day and I use Suave for color treated hair, shampoo once a wk-also very gentle-too break up my shampoo cycle. also-I use b&b prep, for a detangler and spray de mode is amazing for a non hairspray "hairspray".
I have used B&B and it makes my hair greasy. It just doesn't agree with me. I have really greasy hair to begin with. And I have to wash my hair everyday. =/
My favorite shampoo and conditioner are the Pureology ones you use :)
I also trade them off with BedHead Control Freak shampoo and conditioner (smells like the most amazinnnnnng green apples in the world, and makes my hair less frizzy)
I also love BedHead After Party to use after I straighten my hair.
The one product I cannot use: BedHead Dumb Blonde products. I am HIGHLY allergic to something in it.
I believe when it comes to beauty products you get what you pay for. so i recommend professional products like sebastion haispray with humidity control, sebastian light conditioner, shuga leave-in conditioner, shuga shampoo (shuga complex), oh you must try pureology shinemax. these products will not leave your hair greasy or weigh it down. pureology products are one of my favorite and i have tried many!
i've found out that not using conditioner everytime i wash my hair, helps my hair not get greesy, and i even switched to an organic conditioner, and my hair is never greesy anymore, even after putting all my serums, and leave in conditioners!
I absolutley love L'Oreal's Elnett hairspray!!! Most hairspray weighs my hair down too! & makes it crunchy& sticky becuase i have fine hair. But fortunetly for me i actaully like the smell lol : ) Maybe you should try Sunsilk, hold me forever hairspray, i find that is very comparable to Elnett
I might try the other alterna hairspray you suggested cus i L*O*V*E Alterna Life volumizing shampoo&Cond.
haven't found a cheaper brand that compares for volumizing. Has anyone else??
Your hair is amazing! You should definitely do a tutorial on it! Have you ever tried Kerastase products? They're really great, I think you'd like them a lot!
I have to try pureology, i've wanted to for so long. If your hair gets oily easily, the chi products may be too greasy. My hair is very coursr & dry & it even gets greasy.
you do have fabulous hair, love. silk infusion is my fav hair product of ALL TIME... HATED the 44 iron spray made my hair super super dry and gave it a weird "just went swimming in the ocean" texture
Ha, THANK YOU! I felt like such a nerd for style stalking the Elenett hair spray... I too read about it everywhere and the second it was released in the US I scooted my cute little butt over to Target to get some. Luv the glam bottle, the smell does disappoint though.
hey. Can you make a turtorial where you let us see how you do your hair in the morning. nothing special, just want to see how you make the waves in your hair.
hey Lorrain its brittany or darkrayne64 ive deleted my old account and made this one with a new email i will also be making videos hopefully youll check them out and comment i love your videos keep making please!
I love Kenra Silkening gloss and mist. Have you tried those? The Kenra hairsprays are to die for. I have been reading about the Loreal Elnett hairspray as well. Always sold out at Target which is the only place that sells it here. Great vid. I am going to try some of your products.
I use OSIS (professional Schwartzkopf) pomade it comes in a little jar with a screw-top lid, its pink and smells like heaven and its got really good hold...you can pretty much use it for every style its AMAZING...love it!!
Totally true- i haven't bought chi yet cuz i think the bottle is too ugly. hmmm, something about books and covers comes to mind, but oh well, :) Thanks for the vid!
u should definately try the biosilk, it feels great and it smells good. you just need a tiny bit and it works great with wet or dry hair, and its a heat protectant product
That is so true, I've used Pantene before and I hate it because it makes me break out and other brands too. I thought it was only me haha. Try Redken those are always nice :)
I tried the Chi Silk Infusion and I took it back! I just didn't like it at all. I like BioSilk & also Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum (I think that's what it's called). My hair tends to get oily quick also, so I never put any of the serums on my scalp. I start a few inches from my scalp and mainly on the ends.
Where did you get the L'oreal (Elnett?) hairspray? I read about that recently as well. I looooove Big Sexy brand hairspray! I use it on the my roots at my crown.
i have the chi heat protection its amazing! chi is a good smelling man.. haha another thing i use is the redken antisnap leave in treatment .. god it saved my hair! its basically protein and its made for really really brittle hair and mine sure was..
could you show in some random video your necklace b/c it looks so cute but can't relly see what the design is. =) you look beautiful ...as usual!
I wanna try pureology..my hair looks like yours,i think gone work for me too! now i use redken extreme shampoo with smooth down butter treat and work perfectly together,my hair feel smoothing and very shine!I love..And yes, chi silk infusion its my favorite too!love u..xoxox
have you tried the sunsilk daring volume spray? its drugstore for like 3 dollars! and it works great my mom keeps using mine! And the aussie volumizing spray is pretty good =)
I need to def try some of those products lorraine...wna play tennis tonight/ or sometime this week??? hehe....i love pureology too, but so expensive =( boo lol...love u b
Hi Lorraine, I would love to know if you straighten or use a curling iron on your hair. I would love to see a video of how you style your hair from blowdry stage to finished result. I love the way you always have that just out of bed style! thanks
Hi, would like to know if your highlights are done with foil and what tones they use and is it only half a head?? Would also like to know if your job is in the beauty industry?
Hi. You mentioned liking Aveda pure abundance hair potion but I was wondering if you also liked the Aveda volumizing tonic which comes in a brown bottle? It's supposed to be really good.
you cracked me up when u said chi smells like a guy haha it kind of smells like the axe spray teens wear...i love the chi silk infusion $50 for the big one but ive had it for almost a year and i use it everyday

instead of starting to apply the chi silk infusion at your roots you should work it in starting at the ends that way it doesnt look as greasy
abbyelizabeth6264 3 years ago
Thanks!
TheCurrentCustom 3 years ago
I have to try pureology, i've wanted to for so long. If your hair gets oily easily, the chi products may be too greasy. My hair is very coursr & dry & it even gets greasy.
fluffykingsbury 3 years ago
It's really great! It's my favorite! Thanks for the advice!

you do have fabulous hair, love. silk infusion is my fav hair product of ALL TIME...

LMAO @ ugly bottle.
I love Kenra Silkening gloss and mist. Have you tried those? The Kenra hairsprays are to die for. I have been reading about the Loreal Elnett hairspray as well. Always sold out at Target which is the only place that sells it here. Great vid. I am going to try some of your products.
screaminlisa 3 years ago
I've never tried Kenra.. I'll have to look into it! Target is the only place around here to sell it as well~

If you like the chi silk infusion, you would really like the biosilk.. I have both but I really like the biosilk better.
jigglehugs 3 years ago
I am going to have to try that!
TheCurrentCustom 3 years ago

Chi's keratin mist "helps w/ breakage"
Redken's smooth down "fly aways"

I love Aveda products!
espically the hairspray :)
I also really like paul mitchell, iI like
alot of haircare products.
TaylorEmily95 3 years ago
u should definately try the biosilk, it feels great and it smells good. you just need a tiny bit and it works great with wet or dry hair, and its a heat protectant product
rubyg1986 3 years ago
Do you know how it compares to Chi Silk Infusion?
TheCurrentCustom 3 years ago
hmm..not too sure, since i dont use chi. :( but what i can say is that the biosilk bottle is way prettier than the chi lol.
rubyg1986 3 years ago
That is so true, I've used Pantene before and I hate it because it makes me break out and other brands too. I thought it was only me haha. Try Redken those are always nice :)
pinklumpysugar23 3 years ago
I tried the Chi Silk Infusion and I took it back! I just didn't like it at all. I like BioSilk & also Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum (I think that's what it's called). My hair tends to get oily quick also, so I never put any of the serums on my scalp. I start a few inches from my scalp and mainly on the ends.
Where did you get the L'oreal (Elnett?) hairspray? I read about that recently as well. I looooove Big Sexy brand hairspray! I use it on the my roots at my crown.
cherryjewel 3 years ago
I bought it at Target actually! I want to try the paul mitchell super skinny!
TheCurrentCustom 3 years ago
i have the chi heat protection its amazing! chi is a good smelling man.. haha another thing i use is the redken antisnap leave in treatment .. god it saved my hair! its basically protein and its made for really really brittle hair and mine sure was..
could you show in some random video your necklace b/c it looks so cute but can't relly see what the design is. =) you look beautiful ...as usual!
dubiablonde 3 years ago
I have heard a lot of good things about the Redken... i need to try that!
I will! Thanks <33
TheCurrentCustom 3 years ago
Gym? never! haha... I am good with what I eat.... Maybe I should do a video discussing this... I have a lot of requests for it!

Hi Lorraine, I would love to know if you straighten or use a curling iron on your hair. I would love to see a video of how you style your hair from blowdry stage to finished result. I love the way you always have that just out of bed style! thanks

Hi. You mentioned liking Aveda pure abundance hair potion but I was wondering if you also liked the Aveda volumizing tonic which comes in a brown bottle? It's supposed to be really good.
