I would never take your class if you can't even instruct on the basic way to keep the hoop up. Why wasn't the poor lady in front told the intial movement is front to back, it is really sad that you don't stop or go down and help her as you instruct you class. I have taken many classes and watched as instructors helped with form as they continued to instruct the class. It is the same in weight training classes, the insturctors are trusted to make sure the participants have proper form.
I'm happy for her at least she's trying :) If I was there I would definitely help her out. I give major props to people who don't give up and she makes a good example of it.
the best way is to- put one foot in front of the other, and rock back and forth shifting you weight from one foot to the other. when the hoop is traveling across ur back, push forward, when it is traveling across your stomach, push back. this is a good way to learn to keep the hoop up. keep trying!
@bubblebrain666 If you start hooping you better try to move from front to back. You can place one foot in front of you and one behind you: like this you can shift your weight from one foot to another, it makes it easier making bigger movements by using hips and feet. Check out "hula hoop basics vol 1 how to keep up a hula hoop" here on youtube.

I feel sorry for the lady in the front who just can't get it to work

@officejokes she's just shaking her hips from side to side, she'd better move front-back, that's way easier for beginners

How do you move your waist? I tried Circle. I don't know what I'm doing wrong?
