Thanks for the video, now I know what to look for! My new Lee 30-30 seater die is two pieces as well. A problem I have with it is they seater is for spitzer bullets and was cutting rings into the top of my 170 gr. cast lee bullets! I need to call them and complain, if I didn't have a lathe to make a new one last weekend I don't know what I'd have done.
Nice video! True, the .577 round is heavier compared to the poodle..er .223, but anyone getting hit by it is going down HARD! Even a limb shot can easily lead to amputation.
Beautiful rifle indeed! 140 years old and still kicking! About those dies, are you a subscriber to Iraqveteran8888 over at Moss Pawn? He's really into surplus rifles like you are, although generally much more modern ones. He also did a lot on reloading and he's a Lee guy. Not that you need help with reloading but it's a good channel to check out and a good person to get in contact with!
Beautiful rifle, in fantastic condition. I love seeing BSA on anything, being a proud Englishman myself. I own a nice SMLE MKIII from BSA, not quite as impressive as yours, but still great.
@murpheysmuskets No I dont actually have a camera but if i ever put some videos up, ill let you know. I'm really pleased that people like you keep such old weapons up and running and in brilliant condition, not just behind glass in a museum, and lets face it, not many things that are 140 years old can still do their original job perfectly. And also I think this is easily one of the best sounding guns ever made. Although that could just be your awesome reloads, which the vids are also awesome too
Beautiful gun. Where do they sell this kind of rifles? Thanks for the video.
Also, how much did you pay for it it you donk mind?
