makes me want a decent strat all the more. my strat is just a cheap and poorly made guitar (decided to make it my punk guitar). athough i do have an SG but at times i still crave that strat sound
slow it down a little, play with a little more feeling... when you start out fast theres really nothing else to look forward too in the rest of the solo... start out slow and then rip it later on
lol i got mine from costco when i first started out playing.
a lot people rag on this guitar but in the right hands it can sound pretty good. the only problem ive had with it is the tone cuts out every once and a while so it goes to 10 automatically. but u just give it a hit on the fret board and it cuts back :P
Dude if slow down and just kind of let the notes ring out and slide around youd have a tasty solo for the song. Slow down bro ... but I like evreything else man. Groove man groove
ALL YAS FUCK UP!!!!! LOL ya no what i love.....mayers gonna tour with this song and people are already playing bits of his lead breaks that hes gonna play......that incredible to see! HUMANS WERE FUCKING CRAZY ANIMALS!!!! LOL rock and roll peace
@calicom110 No I agree.. It was a great cover all-in-all especially with the use of the loop. I just honestly would have played a milder solo to really let everything else that was going on in the song/layers to shine.
ha ha ha, I like the part where you play the e string with your fingers in a bass guitar position to make it sound like a bass ??? you do know that doesn't change the sound?
very well done. the solo is wonderful too but to be completely honest, from my intake, I found the solo to be a little out there and ballsy for this type of song. just from my intake though. awesome job overall!
dude great playin keep up the good work :D
mayerfan09 11 months ago
the pentatonic scale right
but i think he uses dorian mode for the lead guitar stuff in te song .

WOW!!!! That was AMAMZING! Wicked solo man, i'm just learning the guitar but eventually i wanna be as good as you are. Do you have any pointers?
vigyd 2 years ago
lol i know im going to sound lame, but practice :P
just mess around a lot. learn a few songs. get to know the neck of the guitar. what each note is going to sound like before you play it.

Build it up a bit more to that solo. It was a bit too much. But I liked the feel, as opposed to some people commenting. Good job, though! =D
alexrempel12390 2 years ago
very good build up but it got messy coming to the solo probzz u got really into it but chill out abit more lol

try to move more in the solo.. and your too fast for yourself to handle

nice loops building..
fucking shitty solo!!
you've ruined everything with that!!!

good solo but try to build it up and go all out gradually

The solo is kind of out of place.. doesn't fit at all. The rest isn't that bad though.

you mean with my right hand?
i just played it like that because its easier playing the 8th notes like then rather than picking it with my fingers.
BryceShuster 2 years ago
very awesome man. Mad licks. good skill... piece of advice, play a lil more melodic, and be aware of over playing... Very sic though. Inspiring.
