I agree (and was part of your critiquing.) You don't know the lyrics, you sound bored and plain and you had some pitching issues. I agree that Ashley's Magnet dub was certainly not her best and that the harmonies were... xD but she DOES have a great voice and a unique one at that.

it wasn't the rhythm, her timing as a singer was fine, it was her mixing that was off.

Mixing is one factor, but I already noticed that when posting my critique. I meant her vocal rhythm. She sounds choppy.
Even if timing was off, her voice should have flowed, not sound like she was trying to pronounce the lyrics.
