This was so well put together! Amazing! Thank you for sharing. I love the song and have love "CFK" for so very long. I heard there was a "mash-up" for lack of a better term of the Stripes doing "The Union Forever" with parts of females singing the "enjoys a smoke, to tell a joke and wouldn't get a bit upset if he were really broke" part. Anyone know where I can find that? If so, I would appreciate it SO much! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
this time, as he sat, he discovered plenty of interesting knickknacks and doodads populating her shelves and walls. In some strange way he could sense it was because the waitress herself was struggling with her belief in a god.
I knew someone would do this video! Great job, always loved this song. And I know he never, in real life, looked that good, but sweet god was Orson Welles goregous in those flashbacks or WHAT? *sigh*
when we watched this movie in my 20th century multimedis class, our techer played this song for us. I really liked the song and the movie. Great job with the video!
it may be a stupid question.. but what is the name of this movie? (and sorry for the poor english, 'cause i'm brazilian, and i'm not that good on speaking english ;) ) ty
The whole movie is an allusion to the movie Citizen Kane. The bit about the "union forever" is what Kane was saying over and over as a child before leaving home, also that part was meant to be taking place not long after the American Civil War, which was won by the Union as apposed to the Confederacy so the cry the union forever was the 1860s/70s version of chanting USA's #1.
Also, the movie is greatly about how Kane wanted to be loved all his life but was never able to. This an be attributed to the loss of his mother. "Union Forever" was the song he was singing right before he left his family forever. It seems very painfully ironic for Kane to have sung about the union forever when in reality he ended up alone, being united to nothing.
Great video you have made, it truly captures the essence of the movie and combines it greatly with the song (which in it self is such a prestigious homage) Keep up the good work.
one of the best movies ever! i really like the end. i thought it was clever. but i wont say it here just in case nobody here that hasn't seen it, but wants to, wont be spoiled.
Citizen Kane is a great movie. Orson Wells is a great actor. The White Stripes are awesome too.

Also, every line in the song is a line from the movie. (with the exception of "girl".)
