it was great watching Willis McGahee run 77 yards untouched for a td. then it was even bettr watching Le'Ron McClain go 82 yards on their next play. haha
4:50 - WTF!! It clearly says "World Championship Game" - but this is a US domestic league. Sure, no one else plays the sport or even watches it outside of the US, but calling it a World Championship is hilarious.
@JBisMYmainSQUEEZE Ha, I had checked since that post seven months ago. It is only NFL that does it. No biggy, I see the Superbowl got 112 million viewers, which is a bit poor. The weekend's Manchester United vs Manchester City match (regular season game) got 1.4 billion.
PS I did watch the superbowl (had to watch it online as it wasn't shown on TV) and it was pretty good! I'm not sure why it's so unpopular overseas. Maybe cause of Rugby's secondary domince to football (soccer), but it was good
@Tim733733 I'm glad you liked the super bowl. Its a HUGE deal in America and that pretty much as far as it goes I know some people from Canada who watch it. Football (soccer) isn't really a big deal here. Also we call the team that win the World Series (baseball), and the Stanley Cup (hockey) World Champs.
Daniel, you're a beautiful man/human being! You gave the ol' girl the proper send off she deserved. Sorry I couldn't give you this in a direct post, but i'm drunk and nostalgic right now so the best i could do was post this off some dumb-assess reply! God speed, Daniel! You're a true LEO.. a great, competent, true leader. And this Gemini/Cowboys Freak respects you!
Great video! I too have my hand full of memories. How Bout Them Cowboys, How Bout Them Fans,.... How Bout That Stadium where the Spirit Of Greatness was Born! Texas Stadium will live on. Farewell Indeed!
Great vid, I was there for the first game in 71 and I was there for the last game last season. I never missed a game. I cried when they lost SB V when I was7 and climbed a tree in my front yard and screamed for hours that the Cowboys were Champs the following year in SB VI.
I am now a season ticket holder in the new stadium., they won the SB the first year of Texas Stadium and I believe we can win it this year, our first year it Cowboys Stadium.
@jamesrichardson63haha cowhores got destroyed by the Baltimore Ravens AS USUAL! haha i laughed my fuckin ass off when Ed Reed said "shut the lights out in this bitch!!" haha
God, this video got me really teary-eyed. I can't believe Jerry is going to abandon the place for some expensive fancy-pants soulless shell of a stadium.
The bad call by Fred Swearingen on CB Benny Barnes when Lynn Swann clearly tripped over Barnes.
Roy Gerela slips on a kickoff and the ball squibs to Randy White, who was playing with a cast b/c he broke his hands in the NFC title game vs the Rams. White fumbles and the Steelers score on the next play.
Jackie Smith, Hall of Fame TE, misses a sure TD from Staubach, as neither Jack Ham nor Donnie Shell come anyway close to covering Smith.
I've been a die-hard Cowboy fan for the majority of my 45 years. SB XIII still bothers me to this day. I recall watching an NFL/ESPN Armed Forces Network sports special while stationed in the UK, early this decade on this game. It was stated the NFL sent an apologetic letter to the Cowboys for Swearingen's call. I've never been able to find a copy of this program, nor have I seen it again. Pittsburgh had a great team, but they were handed that game on a "gold" platter.
Following up ... Dallas' largest victory margin was 35 pts, over Buffalo 52-17. (If not for Leon Lett's gaffe, Dallas would have scored 59 in that game, a SB record.) Pittsburgh's largest margin of victory? 12 pts over a less than stellar Seahawks team.
I'd love to have seen the 90s Cowboys go against the 75 or 78 Steelers.
Erik Williams vs Dwight White. Larry Allen vs Joe Green. Mark Tuinei vs LC Greenwood.
And Mel Blount vs Michael Irvin would make for an entertaining matchup.
I meant to say the largest margin of victory in a Dallas Super Bowl was 35 pts. The Steelers largest single margin of victory was 11 pts, and that came against a Seattle team that was not nearly as solid overall as the AFC champion Buffalo team that Dallas demolished 52-17. And, if not for Leon Lett's gaffe, when he showboated at the five yard line and was stripped by Don Beebe of a sure TD, the final would have been 59-17, and Dallas would have owned the record for most pts scored in a SB.
The two wildcard teams the Steelers beat in the Super Bowl were the 75 Cowboys and 79 Rams, by four and 12 points, respectively.
Pittsburgh won four SBs in the 70s by a total of 30 pts. Dallas won two SBs in the 70s by a total of 38 pts, and three more in the 90s by a total of 62 pts.
In SB XIII, every break went the Steelers' way.
They were great, no doubt, but they were awfully lucky.
In conference championships and Super Bowls, Dallas has outscored its opponents 538 to 396 over 22 games. Pittsburgh has outscored its opponents 426 to 380 over 19 games. During their respective SB runs, the Cowboys, on average, scored more per game than did the Steelers and gave up less points per game.
And the Cowboys of the 90s were a far more dominant playoff team than the Steelers of the 70s, which beat two wildcard teams by a combined 16 points.
Overall, Dallas is 13-9 in conference championships and Super Bowls. Pittsburgh is 11-8. Dallas has won more playoff games and conference titles than any team in the Super Bowl era.
The Cowboys have won five SBs by an average of 20 pts per game. They have lost three SBs by a total of 11 points, and never by more than 4 pts. The Steelers have won five SBs by an average victory margin of 8 ppg. The one they lost was by 10 points. Dallas SB win was by 35 pts; Pittsburghs was by 12 pts.
Maybe you can just hold off on having people sit at your feet.
During the 1970s, Dallas played in seven NFC championship games, going 5-2. Pittsburgh went 4-2 in six AFC championships.
For the decade, Dallas won more regular season games than anyone. The Cowboys were 105-39 for the decade; Pittsburgh went 99-44-1. The Steelers owned bad teams in the 70s, going 50-1 vs. teams under .500. That also meant they were a modest 49-43-1 vs teams with winning records.
Greatest football team? America's Team? I believe you're a little mis-guided my young-friend. Born in 1971 you say? Learn a little temperance. Sit at my feet and let me teach you the facts.
The Steelers BEAT the Cowboys in the 1976 Super Bowl AND the 1979 Super Bowl. Oh and if your wondering, the Steelers have won 5 Super bowls and are considered the football dynasty of the 70's.
Is Dallas a great team you ask? Of course! I JUST wouldn't say the Greatest!
Maybe you can hold off on folks sitting at your feet.

You know I've been thinking, after 38 years the Cowboys have moved into their new home.
But what's gonna happen in another 38 years.
Another new larger place?
I mean how much bigger are they gonna build these stadiums?
I don't know if I totally say it's wrong to built new larger stadiums for sporting teams but how far can one go?
They used to play at the Cotton Bowl for their first 11 years and I sure the city of Dallas wasn't happy when they moved outside of the city limits.

What I want more than the Cowboys winning 20 Super Bowls is to see Jesus face to face.
Thanks again, Daniel.

Two more corrections: Randy White broke a hand (not both hands). Pitt beat Sea by 11, not 12.
Of all the SB losers, I'd say the 78 Cowboys were the 2nd best team; the '07 Pats have to get 1st place.
Daniel,
Thanks for this video. I posted a lot about football but your video over-voice tells what matters most...
"I want to know Christ and the power of His Resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings . . ."
Super Bowls and football heroes come and go, but Jesus is eternal.
