I picked out the words 'Kire' (beautiful/pretty) in Japanese, and Ilyia is similar to Latin. Since the story takes place in all kinds of worlds and dimensions, when I saw these lyrics, I at once thought "Oh, this is the language of Clow, or perhaps a common language that Mokona translates all their languages into" It's not that far fetched, right? Since Fai, Kurogane, and Syaron couldn't understand each other without Mokona...and, Mokona isn't human.

Anyway, it's fun to pretend, right?

yuki uses made up sonds to express her feelings in a song. they aren't real words. if you really listen carefully you can imagine the feelings that she intended to express in the sounds and music of the song. i doubt there is an english translation for it though

No...um, it's not in any language at all. Yuki Kajiura, the composer for Tsubasa's songs, sometimes makes up her own chants in her own "Kajiurian" language.

It's apparently a mix between Japanese and English, and she has her singers sing it.

From Wikipedia on Yuki Kajiura: "Chants: It is not uncommon for Kajiura's songs to have a choir performing ominous chants (either as a supporting role or as the main driving force of the song) and some have dubbed this style 'Kajiuran'. I'm not sure, I believe someone just made them up. The English lyrics don't really fit the song at all. Also, 'A Song of Storm and Fire' is definitely not Japanese. I own the soundtrack CDs and the piano music books and there is no English translation of 'A Song of Storm and Fire' in them.
