can someone please explain to me what being a hero has to do with anything ash ever desired. his goal is to be a pokemon master. he does heroic things for sure but its not like he actively seeks out evil to thwart. why do they insist that his dream is to be a hero in the themes
@dolphinsays They do it because Ash and his friends are constantly trying to fulfill their dreams. Helping others is a dream they have in common. They arent trying to make it seem like being a hero is his only dream though.

OK, after all the actors left the original show and when the the 5th generation came into the pokemon world, The show just died to me, When lucario was introduced in the last movie with the original actors, the show just went downhill I like the new game series but its just not worthy to be a good series anymore, I will admit that The rise of darkrai was a good movie but that doesnt save the whole series anymore
The new black and white pokemon are not bad, I mean come on! you try to create 100 new pokemon without getting people saying that they hate them. pokemon will always get good and bad reviews.
Not to mention that black and white are not the last games to the pokemon series......

The new generation of pokemon does have some weird/bad looking pokemon, but I'm probably semi-biased in this argument because I grew up with pokemon Red/Blue and those will always be my faves (Johto was good too though). I also had a couple of other things to say regarding other comments. Some people say that it seems like they are making pokemon too fast, but in actuallity they are all spread out pretty far, 4 years in between each new generation. Oh and that argument down there? Really stupid.
Okay so, I highly doubt making stupid narrow-minded assumptions are going to make more people like Pokemon, everyone's entitled to their own opinions thank you very much.
It's not that I hate the new Pokemon, I just never exactly accepted them, they were created way too fast. For the first few years, it was only Kanto, then Johto came. Now, it seems like there's a new one coming out every year, so after Johto, I gave up on trying to catch up, and payed attention to Generations I and II, simple.
@Cryddanat 4 years isn't that quick. that took forever and i was tired of the 4th gen already because it seem kinda boring now, so i'm happy about the 5th generation

Johto came out two years after Kanto. Hoenn was three years after that. Sinnoh was FOUR years after that, and Unova was another three and a half years or so. @tilley227 ah no. I don't like the newer ones because there really weird looking. there are very few of the newer ones including the upcoming 5th generation that I like. There are a few that I do. I most likely will choose the new water type because it's so cute and then evolves into something kool! I've been with pokemon from the beginning. I still say that the 1st and 2nd generation will ALWAYS be better then all others that follow.

@tilley227 Well that's just your opinion. In my opinion, there's only 16 new pokemon that i don't really like (either i just don't like the design, or they seem repetitive in design). Though I believe I can't really come up with a better design for a pokemon, due to being lazy and having low artistic skill. Being picky of 16 pokemon out of 155 new ones isn't all bad, I just think that the creators could've put a little more thought into the pokemon, plus some of the 16, i don't find all bad.

To make things straight foward, i'll just say I like most of the new pokemon, but i still prefer the older ones (even though i tend to use the new pokemon in the video games to make it a newer experience).
The 4th and 5th gen are horrible, Pokemon was good up til Hoenn. 5th Gen they're taking out Brock but making the entire plot parallel Kanto. I mean, Ash looks like a friggen girl in 5th gen. 4th Gen they just had horrible jokes, I guess at least the Pokemon looked believable. 5th Gen's Pokemon look riduculus, I mean, a Trash Pokemon, an Ice Cream Pokemon, a Gold Sarchophogus. Who's making this up, little kids? Some pokemon are repeats too, just Diff color, Common!
@ukno918 I wasn't really a fan of the show after the 2nd generation, but I still really like the games. My main dislike of the 5th generation pokemon are the legendaries, they are very uncreative in my opinion. The last last legendary pokemon, the purple one, looks like Cannon Soldier from Yu-Gi-Oh...
I also don't like how they made the fire starter a fire and fighting type for the 3rd time in a row.

Yeah, you're right; there was some form of creativity going on in the 1st generation, but there was in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th as well. I do feel that Pokemon is original, I've loved it ever since I was a kid. I grew up with the first gen, but that doesn't mean I have to hate all the rest.

pokemon movies in a nutshell: legendary appears, legendary gets pissed and bes evil, turning point story, ash comes and battle legendary or talks, become friends with legendary the end

Ash has done so much good for the world of Pokemon. He's changed lives, saved lives, saved people's businesses, saved both wild and captured Pokemon, has saved/helped alot of Legendary Pokemon, has defeated every crime organization he's come across, and has even saved the world a few times. I wonder why he isn't famous?

OK, after all the actors left the original show and when the the 5th generation came into the pokemon world, The show just died to me, When lucario was introduced in the last movie with the original actors, the show just went downhill I like the new game series but its just not worthy to be a good series anymore, I will admit that The rise of darkrai was a good movie but that doesnt save the whole series anymore

The new generation of pokemon does have some weird/bad looking pokemon, but I'm probably semi-biased in this argument because I grew up with pokemon Red/Blue and those will always be my faves (Johto was good too though). I also had a couple of other things to say regarding other comments. Some people say that it seems like they are making pokemon too fast, but in actuallity they are all spread out pretty far, 4 years in between each new generation. Oh and that argument down there? Really stupid.

Okay so, I highly doubt making stupid narrow-minded assumptions are going to make more people like Pokemon, everyone's entitled to their own opinions thank you very much.
It's not that I hate the new Pokemon, I just never exactly accepted them, they were created way too fast. For the first few years, it was only Kanto, then Johto came. Now, it seems like there's a new one coming out every year, so after Johto, I gave up on trying to catch up, and payed attention to Generations I and II, simple.

I most likely will choose the new water type because it's so cute and then evolves into something kool! I've been with pokemon from the beginning. @tilley227 Well that's just your opinion. In my opinion, there's only 16 new pokemon that i don't really like (either i just don't like the design, or they seem repetitive in design). Though I believe I can't really come up with a better design for a pokemon, due to being lazy and having low artistic skill. Being picky of 16 pokemon out of 155 new ones isn't all bad, I just think that the creators could've put a little more thought into the pokemon, plus some of the 16, i don't find all bad.

To make things straight foward, i'll just say I like most of the new pokemon, but i still prefer the older ones (even though i tend to use the new pokemon in the video games to make it a newer experience).

The 4th and 5th gen are horrible, Pokemon was good up til Hoenn. 5th Gen they're taking out Brock but making the entire plot parallel Kanto. I mean, Ash looks like a friggen girl in 5th gen. 4th Gen they just had horrible jokes, I guess at least the Pokemon looked believable. 5th Gen's Pokemon look riduculus, I mean, a Trash Pokemon, an Ice Cream Pokemon, a Gold Sarchophogus. My main dislike of the 5th generation pokemon are the legendaries, they are very uncreative in my opinion. The last last legendary pokemon, the purple one, looks like Cannon Soldier from Yu-Gi-Oh...
I also don't like how they made the fire starter a fire and fighting type for the 3rd time in a row.

@Jmarsh720: Of course, that's a nicely balanced team. However, you must also consider having moves for your Pokemon's type advantages. For example, any powerful enough Bug, Ghost, Ice, Dragon, or Dark Pokemon could easily take down your Latias. You can, of course, avoid these type advantages with the help of certain moves; but, Bug and Ice should be a problem, as Latias cannot wield any Fire moves.

Ash has done so much good for the world of Pokemon. He's changed lives, saved lives, saved people's businesses, saved both wild and captured Pokemon, has saved/helped alot of Legendary Pokemon, has defeated every crime organization he's come across, and has even saved the world a few times. I wonder why he isn't famous?
