Exactly. It's supremely well written, unique, and the musicianship is first class. I have been listening to metal for over 20 years, and never found anything that reaches the musical calibur of Mercyful Fate and King Diamond.

@xXvolhvXx I'll probably get lots of flak for this, but I geuss I was just raised a Christian. I just kept with it as I got older. It's just a faith thing. As for the music, hell no. I don't think it's combatible, but I listen to it anyway. I'm just a liberal Christian, that listens to good music.

You basically said that you carry the title of a Christian not because of affection to Christianity but only because of upbringing, as opposed to something you actually enjoy (for example, Mercyful Fate's music). I can't make an extensive judgment about you and your position as I don't know you in person. This is a personal thing that you have to face on your own. Usually it's a gradual process; sometimes it takes years.

They don't know the Bible very well, even core teachings, yet label themselves as their parents or surroundings have taught. If someone tells me that my eternal salvation or damnation depends on whether or not I believe the words of a certain book, I'm going to look into it and research. What could be more important if life after death is "supposedly" on the line?
