  • I'm surprised it didn't flip over.

  • Nothing wrong with that pass at all

  • Ugh why the hell would Richard Petty put Christian Fittipaldi in the 43??!? What was wrong with John Andretti?

  • @rogerpenskefan12 he had 5 top tens in 4 seasons 2000-2003. Nothing was wrong with John he just wasnt performing. Fittipaldi obviously wasnt the answer though

  • i think that this was the third to last race they stopped racing back to the line i wish they still did

  • @meganascarrocks No, it was about 3 months before they stopped racing back to the yellow. It was the 2nd race at Loudon when Jarrett was stopped in the middle of the frontstretch and everyone swerved to avoid him that brought about the freeze the field rule.

  • i guess you all can see where Robby's career went and where Harvick's is!!

    Harvick Fan for life

  • @kevintart09 Haha Harvick Sucks

  • why does this say controversial he passed him because they were racing to the yellow flag

  • Ha ha. I don't see a problem with that pass. Looks like Harvick got beat going into turn 11 fair and square. I remember this "gentlemens" rule from back then. It was a pretty lame rule. Way too much grey area. To me racing back to the line means RACING back to the line. Harvick blew it xD

  • I love how Robby used to get under Harprick's skin and in his head. Harvick couldn't handle having a competitive teammate.

  • @Orangetree547 Truer words have never been spoken.

  • He almost rolled it.

  • who's Christian Fittipaldi?

  • whats Controversial about the pass?

  • @99boyz he passed his teammate under yellow...and typically you don't pass each other coming to the caution

  • @KingCuervo88 this was before they made that a rule No?

  • @99boyz the rule was made in like September...before the Talladega race

  • @KingCuervo88 But back in 2003, it was completely legal. They raced to the start/finish line. Races have been won with this rule in place. See: 1998 Daytona 500.

  • @denver924471 i know but with teammates it's kind of a given to not race/pass him back to the yellow..they still had plenty of laps left..

  • @KingCuervo88 This is Robby Gordon we're talking about, though. He wants every position he can get. Oh, he also went on to win this race.

  • @denver924471 i know......i posted the finish....

  • @KingCuervo88 Oh, okay. This was quite an interesting argument we've had. I guess what you said has a little merit to it. Typically, teammates shouldn't pass teammates when coming to the yellow.

  • @99boyz

they had a gentleman's rule. the "rule" was there for the leader to decide wether he would let lapped cars go or hold them. in this case they race back to the line, but robby gordon sees it as an oportunity to pass the 29, and thats the controversy, taking advantage of the "gentleman's rule"

  • 2002 right? You have anything else from the race like Jeff Burton's synchronized spin?

  • @friskycurtain Hey, you should use Christian Fittipaldi's off course excursion in this race for WTF Moments in NASCAR 13.

  • @friskycurtain BAM.. just uploaded it.. this is 2003
