Two things: What is the bag thing located on your butt-stock? And do you know the exact difference (main difference) between the AK version and the Echo 1 version?

@WallHogsAirsoft The bag on the buttstock is a battery pouch for larger sized batteries that can't fit inside the stock. i guess the main difference between the two is quality inspection... i think echo 1 uses slightly better internals, but i could be wrong. I no longer have this gun (financial reasons) so i can't take it apart and verify that. hope that helped!

how do you unjam the box mag? im using high grade .23 matrix ammo and it was working great the whole time. then when i got home i wanted to test fire and the box mag wont feed at all. its like it just took a massive dump and doesnt wanna work anymore. the selector switches from auto to sound work but it just wont feed. any idea how to unjam my boxmag?

Depending on the spring, it will either raise or lower FPS. For instance, a higher rated spring creates more tension, thus, increases FPS, while a lower rated spring creates less tension, lowering FPS.

The spring i put in is an SP120 spring, increasing stock FPS.

you can however put a large 10.8 volt battery in the stock. the cells a on a 10.8 are a little bit slimmer takes a little work but you can put it in the stock. you also can run the battery to the box mag which is what alot of para users do.

only a small size battery will fit inside the stock, so around 2000 mah or lower. It really depends on the configuration of the pack.

Alright people, let's get this whole A&k/Echo 1 model straightened out. The Echo 1 company is true to the fact that it's from the USA but what it does is that it copy's other brands. What it does is it just asks permission from the company if they can use the same model (the same exact game, internals, etc. And Echo 1 just adds a little modification to the gun (logos) and they raise the price. So pretty much it's dumb to get the "Echo 1" version of it because it's usually a higher price.

All they are are rebranded JGs with a more durable gearbox/gearbox parts. They are pretty nice for a first AEG but the hop up is crap I would get a new hop up and a tight bore.

The Echo 1 SAW is a re make of the A&K one.

Echo 1 just upgrades the A&K one and gives it a warranty so you should probably get the Echo 1

i really dont know. externally, they are similar. you'll have to check whats inside to see the difference. im getting the A&k M249 SAW as well..the PARA version with a collapsible stock and shortened barrel which is great for CQB. which version are you getting?

I feel like a retard.... U know how on all the reviews how every1 is always griping at how u cant put an 8.4 large into this but on the gun? Well I always thought this to but today I was in my shop and I turned the battery around and it went in....... lolz I was hapy but I felt stupid. The reason the 8.4 large wont fit is cuz the cell at the end of the battery has an edge but the front of the bat is rounded cuz the cell is going up and down. The botom cell is side ways. I depends on the role you want to play. If you want a good support weapon, this is it, albeit it is heavy. If it's your first time playing airsoft, i suggest getting a lighter, cheaper, yet reliable AEG first. you can go with echo 1, CA sportline, TSD sportline.

I would stick with a JG or Echo 1 gun, but probaly not an M249 or the R85. If its your first gun, you want to start off a little slow and not get into something that is really complex to fix if you have problems

No, but the motor lock-up issue i mentioned in my video is most likely an isolated event. I've shot 4000 rounds now with no problems.

i found out why the motor locks up. It is due to people using to powerful of a battery and a bb jams in the hop-up causing the motor and gearbox to freeze so if it does happen to you try to look into the hop-up.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - IT IS NOT FULL METAL! It's MOSTLY metal (85-90%). The barrel heat shield fitting bracket is nylon where it should be stamped steel and the pistol grip trigger/selector block is ABS polymer instead of steel. You can buy G&P/Proud metal replacement parts for these. Saying this gun is 'full metal' is like saying the Chinese M1A1 Thompson AEG is full metal when it isn't; the lover receiver is ABS polymer. Please stop spreading misinformation.

As far as i know the Echo 1 is A&K. Only that they rebranded it, and put in a weaker spring. Othervise it should be the same. About the gearbox. It should be the same as the CA, cause it's a copy of CA. At least that's what's stated on a online shop. I ordered mine and am now waiting for it to arrive.

but if it dosnt there is a compartment for the mini type battery underneath the barrel and it looks like it could fit 2 1.2v batterys, but that makes them seperated. if im succesfull i will see if i can take pictures and mabey make a reveiw on how to do it

i just got my m249 on thursday, and what is crooked on it... the damn flashider!!! gah but i find it some what hard to shoulder with the box mag, do you have a technique for holdin it?

Yeah i agree that it's a bit uncomfortable to shoulder it with the box mag in place. I found it easier to rest the stock on top of your shoulder to fire it in the standing/crouching position.

ive seen people on you tube hold it like that, but it looks a bit funky. oh and i think ive come up with a few ways to get the battery inside of the gun. first in the box mag there is a slot right next to the double a batterys where if you push the tiny wires to the side you can slide a 8.4 v large type battery in ( i have the same battery as you) and you can take the wires from the battery and get a extension and run the wires to the back. thats option 1

option 2 is i found this website that you can buy any kind of a battery pretty much know... any ways im going to buy 8x 1.2 4500 mah batterys and run 3 like an ak47 stick batt, and then the rest in the back of the stock kinda like a nunchuck... and hopefuly it fits!

To let you know i found it, its under the feed cover... that button you press to eject the spring also releases the tension without having to go to the actual spring. Sorry i cant really explain it well.
