Full-Preterist Introduction to Revelation 20's 1000 Years

The millennium stumps many people. 1000 is a symbolic number denoting perfection or all or completion. We tend to literalize first, and a study in Biblical hermeneutics would help to know when a verse is literal, or figurative, and not let tradition assume for us. As an example, "God owns the cattle on a thousand hills." Does this mean 999+1? Or does it mean "all?" The verse that sealed the preterist view for me was Luke 21:20-22. All prophecy was fulfilled in the days the writer lived in. Read!

The millennium is most certainly in the future. But it is not as dispensational/futurists claim.  It does not take place on earth. Rather, at the 2nd Advent, Christ comes to receive His Church (all the redeemed from all time) and slay the wicked living. The earth remains completely desolate for 1,000 yrs. while the saints reign in heaven with our King. After the 1,000 yrs., the wicked are resurrected (though not to immortality) and are judged and destroyed by God.

I think what's of utmost importance to remember about Rev 20 is that the reign of the saints in Revelation is on the earth. This means that the resurrection of ch.20 takes place on the earth. This is amazing because people typically associate "the resurrection" to take place at the end of time. If it does, then how is Satan loosed AFTER time ends? Therefore the resurrection must be spiritual if it takes place both on the earth. John 5:24-29, Rom 6:13, Eph 5:11-16, 1John 3:14, Rev 11:17-18

I think the 1,000 years may be symbolic of a long period of time - I'll be looking at that soon. I've discovered there are hidden beasts we missed - they are the heads and are of Judea. The horns are Roman of course. I'm wondering if Satan has been released as the crop circles clearly are being done supernaturally and it is out in the open.
