i did this and it worked fine for months and months. but recently i was playing with the settings because i was lagging a bit online, and when i affirmed these settings it exited out of CS and, i tried going back in and it didn't load up probably it just went to black screen then exited the game.

i tried re-installing it and it did the same thing :(

@Danikovov I did the same thing, but to reset it i used an application called "AppZapper". It will remove all files that are linked to CS (including the preferences file ;)) Good Luck! (PM me if you want a key to AppZapper, i use it alot! :))
