I never said that skim barrels were "better" than surfing barrels, I just said that when you skim you catch more waves/barrels than surfing. Skimming does take balls, you are going atleast 15mph at shorebreak sometimes head high, surfing also takes balls. You also have to look out for rips, sharks and when you skim you don't have a leash to worry about breaking. Anyways I like skim more than surf but thats just me.
