  • AND ON THE 9th DAY GOD MADE BUDDY!

  • Buddy rocks, RS might have rated him 13..but in the early 60's the top guys wanted to play like him!

  • This video proves without a doubt Rolling Stone lists are full of shit!! So hes number 30?? Name ONE Guitarist besides Hendrix or Vaughan that come close to the Woodmaster!! The dude is 74 and still smokin that ass!!

  • I love how he tries to get a junior Wells vibe at the last verse!

  • I still think he looks like Morgan Freeman.

  • i'll put buddy guy at #1 and hendrix at #2 on my own list... and he's certainly a better singer than hendrix!

  • im just as good as it gets!...... that's true buddy you are

  • Saw him last nite amazing!!!!!!

  • Rolling Stones are a bunch of fucking morons... really, Kurt Cobain, Keith Richards, John Frusciante, Morello over the likes of David Gilmour? KURT COBAIN??? Morons... Buddy guy was shafted at 13...

  • I've seen him several times throughout the years - he always delivers - like a hurricane - he'll blow you away !

  • Buddy is better than #13 in my book. This man is a guitar god!!!

  • With this class!!! you just cant rank!!! Way above ranks!!!

  • Check out Callie's version of Buddy Guy's Feels Like Rain!

  • Mir fällt zunächst auf Bernd, ich habe die selbe Kappe, ansonsten sehr wir uns zwar nicht änlich, doch die Musik lieben wir Beide.

    Grüße von Bert

  • Mr. George "Buddy" Guy - 75 years today! Congrats!

  • @Perstorp 75??? and STILL ROCKIN??? Whoa! * *LOL*

  • @MrsD7777 I just saw him the other day at DC..He was freakin amazing. Could not believe he is 75 years young...

  • @MrsD7777 B.B. King's in his mid-80s, if I'm correct. He's still touring too.

  • Anyone know what is the amp we see at the extreme right at 0:06 ?

  • Qu'est-ce qu'il est long, au synthé, celui-là !

  • God bless and keep him!

  • I wish i would have went to the blues festival in portland oregon, would have been dope to see buddy there..

  • Lot's of different flavours ladies and gents the important thing being; Buddy Guy is himself and does him so so good. I heard him say once "I'm only playing the best till the best come around"

  • i love the bass line

  • Buddy Guy also infuenced Hendrix

  • legend

  • I thought BB King was the best guitarist in the world...Whatever the case, they'll all brilliant guitarists, Buddy, Prince, Eric, Eddie, Jeff, and the list goes on and on.

  • i put 900

    be a hero also

  • I just got home from seeing Buddy at the Belly Up in San Diego. Incredible!! 6-13-2011.

  • he's playing in houston on june 8th and i'm trying like mad to get tickets

  • He is the best, Clapton has stated that Buddy Guy is the Greatest Guitarist in the world. Seen him twice hope to see him again! Sooner the better

  • @IbeeOk Agreed! EC has also stated more than a few times that BG was THE main influence on his guitar playing style. Not so sure I'm into the who's-the-best debate, but BG sure has influenced an entire generation of guitar players.

  • One of the last in the third generation blues musicians -- and still goin' strong. I'm glad you're still with us Buddy, belting out some of the sweetest blues ever!

  • exelente...

  • To all of you who have seen this great man, you lucky buggers! lol

  • I saw him in Edmonton last night, was at the front of the stage about 4 feet from Buddy ALL NIGHT!

Then to top it off, he signed my guitar at the end of the show. I still can't believe I was watching him that close, was the 3rd time I've seen him in 4 years. Small venue too, only about 350-400 people there. Greatest night ever.

  • @lostintheblues Been there, man - sat at his feet in a tiny club - so close I could smell the whisky in his cup - it was blues magic.....

  • saw him 2 years ago,he was electric and just left us all feeling great. Go see him next chance you get, his voice still sounds incredible.

  • BUDDY'S BACK!

  • buddy guy looks like homer here.... and busta rhymes....... but thats cause busta rhymes looks like homer.... lol....

  • at first i was like thats not buddy guy,,,,,,

  • 日本でも凄い人気なんだぜ

  • mys__/bonnardsbluesband

  • He's better than 13th. He's number 1! He's the best damn fool that you've ever met.

  • 13th in Rolling stones top guitarists. Should be much higher, That chart is wrong. It has BB KING at number 3? i mean he good but not a patch on Gary Moore, Santana, SRV, Buddy Guy.!!! I never saw Robert Johnson or Chuck Berry who were ranked 5th and 6th play solos as good as these guys either. And Keith Richards number 10!! This surely not ranked on technical ability then lol.

  • Buddy Guy has been called the bridge between the blues and rock and roll. He is one of the historic links between Chicago electric blues pioneers Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf and popular musicians like Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page as well as later revivalists like Stevie Ray Vaughan. Vaughan stated that, "Without Buddy Guy, there would be no Stevie Ray Vaughan."

  • was this in nz at blues fest?

  • i still live him..

  • His vocals are what make it mother fucking badass

  • I feel sorry about people who ranks misicians by "The Rolling Stone Magazine". First of all, music is an ART, not a sport, nobody wins, nobody loses. Second, Mr. Buddy Guy shouldn't be respected for been "thirieth" in some fancy magazine, but for what he actually is: A BLUES GIANT.

  • ITS A VERY GOOD

  • Buddy Guy just played a show down in Florida right by me

  • @ThePrettyPleases he put the spotlight light on me and walked to me in ft worth texas playing that guitar!! my friends freaked out when they saw me. i was stand at the bar as usual!!lol

  • Saw this damn fool at Saskatoon Jazz Festival, and I tell ya he is the best one I ever met.

  • The guitar on the right looks like it's not plugged!!!

  • This dude's got it ALL going on. Keeping them blues alive. Live long and prosper.

  • blues is the music of the human race. It transcends every color and class barrier there is. It will always be around and will continually gain fans. If you think about it, blues has only increased in popularity since it was started a hundred or so years ago. You can't say that about any other genre of music. If you don't like the blues it's only a matter of time before you become a complete blues junkie. You can't say that about any other genre of music. Most powerful form of art ever!!!!

  • @kylekylelewis Totally agree! Its because the blues mirrors life, good or bad. And those who play it like Buddy, have usually gone through some big shit and had some seriously good times too! That just comes through in the music. Love the blues. Like you say its musical art at its finest.

  • @kylekylelewis Agreed 100%

  • @kylekylelewis you're so damn right.

  • Rolling Stone? Who cares what they think? They have to sell mags to corporate white America. Buddy Guy is on all of the greats lists. And is still alive. Nuff said.
