@dnworks "The whole frightful responsibility for this terrible Thirty Years' War [1618-1648] must rest upon the [Holy Roman] Emperor Ferdinand II, and his teachers, rulers, and bosom friends -- the Sons of Loyola [i.e., the Jesuit Order]."

@dnworks "The Jesuits...are simply the Romish army for the earthly sovereignty of the world in the future, with the Pontiff of Rome for emperor...that's their ideal. ...It is simple lust of power, of filthy earthly gain, of domination -- something like a universal serfdom with them [i.e., the Jesuits] as masters -- that's all they stand for. They don't even believe in God perhaps."

There were quite a few things I simply appropriated from the Jesuits for the use of the [Nazi] Party.
many pianists play Bach technically in a perfect way .. how many pianists do make proper the soul of Bach to bring out their?.. for me Keith Jarrett is one of these
If you can find the out -of-print double-CD of Bach French Suites played by Keith Jarret on harpischord, you will not regret it! The music is so beautiful and he plays with an understated but precise and eloquent manner. One of my top 10 CDs of all time and I have 500+ CDs!
@DajaWaja If Keith Jarrett wanted to play this like it was a 1960s reggae song at 200 BPM, I imagine he could.... so no there are no errors he is playing it very faithfully the trills and quick flat notes that sound like "errors" are the work of Bach's writing and style.
Che Grande !!
Non c'è più nessuno come Jarrett, perchè nessuno è più...se stesso !

Non. Ce n'est pas vrai. C'est joué en 99/100. Presque parfait. Bach l'aurait acceptée cette interpretation.

A sarabande is played in 3/4, but this sounds so 4/4 to me. Strange.

@keesvangulik127 the harmonic rhythm indicates it distinctly. notice the chord progression. it's clear ;-)

Where is this recording from?
GeorgScholz 7 months ago
@GeorgScholz This was from an early 80's PBS program titled: "All that Bach". It included several
performances of Bach's music by different artists/ensambles.
