  • ive gone to waldorf my whole life and it most definatly is not a cult it is alternative education taught through the arts

  • These people whom have been exposed to clairvoyant and spiritual possibilities will be a spiritually superior human , who will lead mankind in the future. The schools are in place in order for this to happen. As an esoteric religion/cult, only a few have full knowledge, others are "on the path". Eurythmy is an example of exposing children to a spiritual anthrposophical ritual; it is a movement training them to communicate without words, steiner believed this is how to talk to the spirit world.

  • My god, you are sooooo wrong. In your comment one may think that there is something "obscure" in Waldorf Education. It is not a cult, no believe in a future time of claravoyants and spirits and all those missleading words that you use.

Please, read more before commenting this way.

  • I think it's "cult-like" - noit a serious cult. My advice to you would be to read The Apocolypse of St John, The Mission of the Folk Souls, Knowledge of Higher Worlds

The Being of Man and his Future Evolution

The Occult Significance of Blood ,Universe Earth and Man

    The Universal Human

Health and Illness Vol 1. If you read German, you could try Die Welträtsel und die Anthroposophie - it's on amazon. If you read these, Then tell me to read more.

  • If you don't even realise that all Steiner's "insights" came from his "clairvoyance", which even the Steiner waldorf Fellowship admits, and that it's central beliefs are reincarnation and a spirit world we could all be trained to communicate with, you are really in the dark. All those books by steiner are available at the Rudolf Steiner Archive. Read them. You'll be amazed and flabbergasted. It's all interesting, whether one believes in it or not. Steiner certainly nhad an "unusual" mind...

  • To tell you the truth, I don't care if Steiner was a clairvoyance or if he believed in reincarnation or not. What we practice everyday with the children is based on offering them what they need, not simply throwing them to a math class and teach them to memorize things like monkeys.

I might be in the darkness, but what amazes me, are not the books of Steiner, what amazes me, is how our children are growing with a tremendous self confidence and sensibility for others and for the world.

  • There are so many good things about waldorf, homeschooling using some of the ideas seems to be the best way. I have read a lot, yes, and much of what I've read appalls me. What I object to very strongly is the way the schools aren't up front about the anthroposohical core of their education. They seem to think that they have a superior right to keep this from parents, because they believe they know best. Schools look to what steiner "indicated" at every turn, who knows what they take from him?

  • Do you really not want to read and find out about the education you support? You don't even care? Strange. My children too have self confidence and awareness and sesibitity for others. Steiner waldorf, contrary to what they may indicate, don't have a monopoly on these things you know. Many people choose it for what it ISN'T, and like you, have no idea what it IS. Shame. Children';s education is so precious.

  • Good for your children, that is, in the end what we are really looking for, the path we take to do it, is not the important thing. If you have found a good education system, methodology or whatever, let me know, I want to learn about it.

  • It amuses me you seem to think Steiner waldorf don't "teach children to memorise things like monkeys", because that's precisely what they do! Most of the learning is by memorising and by rote, copying from the board- even art is copied. Steiner believed too much intellectual stimulation damages the astral body; children aren't encouraged to use any critical facilities until they're at least 14. they aren't encouraged to question the teacher, but take his word as unquestioned. Highly uncreative

  • It would be nice to keep arguing with you. No doubt you are well prepared, but, for some reason, your experiences with Waldorf Ed seem to have been horrifing. I might be wrong, but, the way Waldorf educated children behave, create and question, to me, seem far better than that of the "conventional" education. I am interested in knowing more, but I will not stay stuck with concepts like karma, astral body, clairavoyance, reincarnation and the like.

  • Ok, this demonstrates that you have red a lot about antroposophy, good for you.

Now, I have red some books about Waldorf Education, and my wife is a Waldorf teacher, and we practice Waldorf Education in a Homeschooling project with other 10 parents. NONE of us are anthroposophists, we do not expect our children to be part of a special clairavoyant new super species, just people with a better understanding of their own nature and more sensible with the universe that sorrounds them

  • During training, teachers are taught to direct parents away from the spiritual core of the education and concentrate on the so called creative child centric curriculum. Anthroposophists may "invite" people to learn morewhen they feel they are ready and receptive; this may be never, but at least they can try to make the children receptive. Anrthros believe there will come a future time, when all who have been exposed to clairvoyant and spiritual possibilities will join together.

  • If "every single Steiner waldorf video" actually told the truth abot their cult, I wouldn't bother. They are totally dishonest, and if you haven't realised that the "education" they offer is completely about directing children towards a supersensible world of spirits, preparing them for a future when these spirits manifest themselves, then you are deluded, and have no idea about the anthroposophy which guides these people.Teachers are trained to not mention anthroposophy.

  • Moi ben a naiescola!! E moi guapa a mestra. Qué boa pinta o proxecto, de verdade!

  • None of the films promoting Waldorf mention their real core agenda. I'm just commenting on that fact- saying a similar thing- yes- if it was mentioned in the first place I might say something different. I think it's important that people realise the main agenda of Steiner Waldorf education.

  • You're not "just commenting", you're actively persecuting every single Waldorf video on YouTube with the same message. Perhaps Rudolf Steiner and some of his early followers had some kind of reincarnation agenda, but these days the only agenda of Waldorf Education (as if that's a single entity) is, strangely, education - an education that may include spiritual elements you don't personally agree with, but obviously many others do. So save your time + energy and go 'disillusion' some other group.

  • Steiner Waldorf schools are rooted in anthroposophy- a spiritual science/religion/cult. They are very secretive about it, because they want to spread Steiner Waldorf around the world. Their main agenda is to help children reincarnate for the general good of humankind.Their views o race and aryan superiority should be enough to put anyone off in the first place. Don't be fooled by the child-centred holistic education shown.

  • Maybe not the best, youTube is as good for exchanging opinions as any other web platform. Waldorf promoters and critics are welcome. Just don't care about your Rh factor and pedigree chart!

  • What's an Rh factor and pedigree chart? Why is it do you think, that these promotional videos never mention the anthroposophy? Or wrap it up in language that means very little? Why don't they say it's about reincarnation, humankind moving to new epochs, spiritual planes? Maybe people would think they were following the mad clairvoyant ravings of a dead man- rather like a cult.

  • Youtube is quite a good place to get views accross- even advertising schools that puport to be one thing- and are really quite another.

What do you mean by Rh factor and pedigree? Blood type? Not enough aryan blood in there?

  • I'm sorry if my english is not clear enough. But regarding bloods, for me, hot blood is enough to join the human band, and yours looks pretty hot! Welcome again, tenguineas. You left some honest questions here. My three little children need me now. I'll come back sooner or later!

  • You say the same message to everyone on every different waldorf site...
