Hey I have a question. I'm using a TS9 to boost my Fulltone Plimsoul pedal for a lead tone. Whenever I do this, I get this really odd tone when I do chords, like a fuzzy nasty kind of tone. Any tips on how to cure that? My amp is a Hot Rod Deluxe III

@w00p678 No clue, sorry. Make sure that the gain on the TS9 is on the minimum.

@falden82 Great video mate, how are you setting the Tube Screamer generally? Do you go for a clean boost (no drive, level on max), or a bit more of an overdrive with the gain up a bit and less level?

@joewilson40 Thank's mate. It depends on. If i use it to boost a distorted sound then i set i for a clean boost. If i use it like with this Marshall, then i leave the volume on max. and i adjust the gain until it satisfies me. lol

@wyll2k I guess it's a hair tie. Its often used to mute the strings which are not used during tabbing. Cause normally there is no need or open strings while tabbing. the hair tie is then put in, lets say the first or second fret and effectivly mutes every string thats not tabbed at the moment. Hope that helped :)

I use a ts808 in front of a high gain channel live. How would you switch to a clean channel with out having to step on 2 different buttons. I'm looking for some ideas to handle this problem.

dude shut up and play!!! nah jk but the fact that the 808 changes the tone quite a bit shouldn't be up for discussion anymore. It is a fact. The original TS cuts lows and has a prominent mid honk. End of discussion and fascination. And the additional compression makes it easier for sloppy players ;)

It definitely is my favorite Marshall. But you need the mod with the extra power section volume knob. Otherwise you just can't get this baby sound dirty. It's just too loud for any occations that way...

@falden82 Have you ever used an attenuator with it? LIke an aracom DAG, i heard those are the best out there. Then you can drive it without the master volume and still have bedroom level volumes? I may try a ceriatone clone JTM45 100? you like?

@nznaturopath I've never tried it with an attenuator, but they should be alright. Many use it that way.

And it should be ok for bedroom volumes that way.
