    ಠ_ರೃ Excellent

  • Looked like he was scared when he took the last shot.

  • Awesome video and awesome drill.

  • Excellent...

  • Pro...con....ignorant...these are the comments I'm reading. I have a CCW for Missouri and I carry, a Springfield Armory XD .45 and shit RARELY happens at 21 feet. The 21 Foot rule came out of a court demonstration during a trial....events happen further and closer, but even more rare is the assailant "laying in wait" for a concealed carrier...damn you liberals chap my ass!!

  • How does the Sig Sauer P-220 compare against the ParaOrdinance Warthog?

  • How to stop a crack addict :D

  • Or you could use a tomahawk

  • not for nothing, but this test was supposed to be based on "surprise" or quick reaction factor.....at no point was his attention "diverted" from the target. im not taking any credit away from the exercise except to point out that the teachers intent ( written on screen) and what actually happened did not match. although he verbally engaged the instructor his visual attention never "diverted" from the target

  • @increasedpotential its a good exersize for learning to draw gun in the proper situation but 2.6 seconds is 1.1 second slower then the average mans runnign speed for 21 feet. the average adult male can run 21 feet un 1.5 seconds and then have 7 to 10 slashes on there opponent in that same time

  • @increasedpotential that would have been dangerous.

  • now THIS is a practical shooting exersize.

  • dude i saw that same excercise with sara palin but she used her like 12 gauge with slugs she couldnt handle it. nice job buddy

  • damn.. this looks like fun.. i should build one..

  • I heard MrGrevy's home was invaded by some gang members. Right before they killed him he said something snarky and then lol'd, it didn't protect him. Even though most of us will never encounter a home invasion, we should learn from MrGravy's mistakes. Prepare yourself for the possibilities that exist. Who cares if there is a small chance of you being attacked. You don't know what tomorrow holds.

  • I dont want to be a statistic, so i bought my sig and became ballistic! The truth of the matter is, when it comes down to it. Its gunna be him/her over me anyday, " rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6"

  • The badassery of a Sig with the badassery of the .45 ACP

  • Great shooting. I can't believe the amount of anti gun folks on here.

  • SWEET

  • Good shooting. Getting the weapon out that fast while still connecting with the target in rapid fire is hard to do. I don't know what all these other comments have to do with your video; debating is for forums, not youtube comments.

  • The Brady Bunch argues that in stressful situations, only 20% of rounds will hit their target. They are implying that the other 80% fly into innocent lives. In fact, the odds of a defensive gun user accidentally killing an innocent person are less than 1 in 26,000 (figures are from 1984, but I welcome any modern statistics, as they will similarly prove just how infrequently it happens). As a gun owner and CPL holder, I accept that I am responsible for what comes out of my muzzle.

  • Is MrGrevy advocating that in a lethal force situation (where I am under imminent threat of death, severe bodily injury, or sexual assault), that I not draw my weapon to defend myself due to the off chance that I might miss and kill a hypothetical someone?

  • wildly irresponsible

  • @MrGrevy Why is this wildly irresponsible?

  • @ThePaladinian Let's see, glorifying gun violence by pretending to shoot at a human being...how could that ever be irresponsible? How much time do you spend preparing for situations that will probably never happen? Paranoid much?

  • @MrGrevy Football not only glorifies physical violence, but is the practice of physical violence against other human beings. This is a much safer sport, and has application for future involvement in law enforcement, as well as working with documented evidence that those who have tactical firearms training, are better equipped (even if they're not armed) to deal with sudden outbreaks of handgun violence in a crowd situatoin. This is as much an antiviolence measure as anything.

  • @ThePaladinian If we are ever invaded by paper targets, will you protect me?

  • @MrGrevy You bet. ;-)

  • @MrGrevy Had any of the individuals shown in this video been present at the shooting of Gabrielle Giffords, they would have been prepared to stop the madness before so many people were injured or killed. Instead, we have a mass of the populace who is unprepared. Perhaps those surrounding Giffords, were not paranoid enough. A question... why were you watching this video if you're opposed to gun violence? And even if you are opposed to gun violence, this drill is not wildly irresponsible.

  • @ThePaladinian Oh yes. Clearly shooting paper targets will prepare you for a real life shooting situation. The movie educated folks like you are particularly scary in these silly beliefs. I feel bad for the little kid in the video I hope he turns out ok and not part of some militia or living behind a barricade looking through binoculars waiting for an attack that never happens.

  • @MrGrevy I have science and 50 years of military history on my side. Have you ever been present at the outbreak of a live shooting scenario?

I have. 4 AM, Denver Colorado. About 30 yards from me. Being trained has given me confidence and better alertness to danger, should the situation ever arise. In martial arts, the trainees attack test dummies. It prepares them for real life scenarios very well. Your position is not defended by experience, testing, or research, but a preexisting bias.

  • @ThePaladinian Not true. Your evidence is anecdotal. My opinions are based on studies showing the tendency for people to panic and miss their targets in live fire situations. Do you even know how many rounds are wasted when cops try to kill a suspect? You're simply enthusiastic about guns, and that's cool, but it doesn't make you right.

  • @MrGrevy That's if they are even required to shoot in the first place. Control is often about presentation of force and authority, not about use of force. Plus, do you know how little police officers even train? The qualification requirements are really very sad. SWAT teams are trained substantially better, and ya know what? They don't miss. In my lifetime, I've had more tactical training than the average SWAT team member. Vastly more than the average military or police officer.

  • @MrGrevy

By your logic, then, police should not be allowed to carry firearms. Furthermore, citizens are on average more accurate than police officers in self defense situations.

  • @bnctaj studies show that to be an efficent draw you have to have around 3000 draw and shoots the average cop has many more draws then 3000

  • @houseofaction

And studies also show that citizens are 7-12 times more accurate in self defense situations, depending on which study one reads.

  • @MrGrevy Over 2 million Americans use guns in self defense every year. I'm glad most people don't think like you or we'd have alot more murders and violent crime in general.

  • @anthonypettiskick Maybe.

  • @MrGrevy No not maybe the answer is yes the study was done by John Lott, a gun control advocate who conducted the study originally to prove a point for stricter gun control. What he found was that gun control was the complete opposite of what he expected.

  • @anthonypettiskick And how many are killed accidentally? Oops! Forgot that statistic didn't you? Sicko.

  • @MrGrevy

More babies drown in buckets per year than children are hurt in firearms accidents.

  • Fuuu... and me, being a typical Brit would probably double tap a .45, not empty my bloody magazine! Excellent shooting my friend.

  • Great idea to ask about the "press check" to catch you off guard! Looks like good training!

  • This isn't really "high speed" like the title claims.

  • Nice! kept eye on target entire time!

  • 1 .45 bullet 2 da chest wud fuck his world up side down ya heard me

  • This is a fantastic simulation for defensive training! Great job shooting!

  • Good job, shooting a charging target is very difficult for most people, not getting the unprepared part though, your clearly standing there waiting lol.

  • The slide didn't lock back on the empty mag?

  • @HUNGSOONER Standard p220 mag has 8 rounds, plus he could have 1 in the chamber as well. Combat magazines have 10. He only shot 7 rounds.

  • haha hillbillys scumbags

  • fuck...hes on my team

  • Excellent training that will prepare you well for charging pieces of paper in the real world.

  • nice shooting, and yes you did empty your mag...however there is still one in the barrel. SHOOT HIM AGAIN...HE WAS STILL CHARGING!!!!

  • he should of finished it off with a falcon punch

  • Comment removed

  • i like the moving target.. is it electric??or manual pull??

  • @TajRasak discription says its a person running with the other end of the rope.

  • omg did u hear what he say and how, ts, ts, ts...

  • smooth draw

  • lol nice set up thats not bad for a .45 nice group!

  • haha boys and there toys yeeh haaw!!!

  • How is shooting a target who is STILL CHARGING AT YOU being irresponsible?

  • Why is it cool to be able to empty a magazine into a fake person? "Unh, lookit me, I'm really good at killing people!"

Join the Marines and go down to Afghanistan. Maybe that'll give you a reality check.

  • @YTMbrianpeppersND

He never said that he thought he was cool for being able to empty a mag into a target nor did he ever say "lookit me, I'm really good at killing people!" He simply posted a video of him shooting... This is the best way to train for a situation where you may have to use your daily carry. What the fuck do you think Marines do for training? They do exercises just like this. You're just another YouTube troll with no life.

  • @SigSnob "May have to use your daily carry." You mean kill someone.

  • @YTMbrianpeppersND

No shit moron... that's the point of carrying, in case you have to kill in order to protect yourself. My point was that the guy in this video is actually training in the proper fashion. It doesn't do you any good to shoot at a stationary target without any distractions. This is how you SHOULD train.

  • @SigSnob So training like this makes you excel at killing human beings. My point exactly.

  • @YTMbrianpeppersND

God, you're a fucking idiot. Where in this video does the shooter say, and I quote "Unh lookit me, I'm really good at killing people!"??? He doesn't you moron. He simply posted a shooting of exercises he runs. There are hundreds, if not thousands of videos just like this on YouTube. You're just another YouTube troll with no life. So how 'bout you get one, fucking loser.

  • @SigSnob He bragged about being able to empty a clip into the target. In essence, he bragged about being able to kill a human being. It's wrong. They should be for self-defense in its true sense: defense until the threat is no longer a threat. Sure, you might have to kill someone to do that. But 7 bullets? And bragging about it? That earns the second amendment a bad name.

You though I was some anti-gun troll, huh asshole? I'm against irresponsibility with lethal force. Get a fucking clue.

  • @YTMbrianpeppersND

If person charges you in an attempt to attack, lethal force is authorized. Emptying the mag into the attacker isn't illegal. What's wrong about that? If some tries to attack you, fuck em. They can die.

  • @SigSnob

Exactly. I have little sympathy for somebody who tries to kill me.

I always say that the maximum level of force you should use is what they threaten you with. If somebody tries to simply beat you up, beat the shit out of them and go no further. But if somebody tries to kill you, don't be afraid to kill them instead if necessary. Obviously it is best to use the least amount of force necessary, but I won't lose any sleep over killing somebody who was attacking me with a knife.

  • @YTMbrianpeppersND Or maybe he isn't bragging about killing people and he is just bragging about how accurately he can shoot. Guns don't have to always be related with killing people

  • @YTMbrianpeppersND you obviously haven't actually fired a gun or been in a situation of extreme pressure where you had to. Your response will probably be something like "Why don't you shoot him in the leg of shoulder like in movies" well to answer that before hand, there are major arteries running allllll across your body and hitting one will cause blood to flow faster than a hose.

P.s you obviously have never seen a real gun before. So i suggest you learn what a clip is and what a mag is.

  • Why? What evidence do you have for any of that? You don't even know where I'm from. You don't know a thing about me.

Your argument is called an ad hominem argument. Look it up.

  • @YTMbrianpeppersND Why are you spending so much time raging against self defense. I mean, you sound like a teen age girl after her first zit. Think you're going to change the world? Stop watching these videos if it makes your panties too tight.

  • I don't give a shit if it takes me 1 bullet or 7 bullets to kill a man. If I need to kill him, I will do it, no matter how. And 7 shots is the best thing to do in this situation. A man running with a knife will carry momentum, even if he's been shot. You need to KILL him to stop the attack. The only way to quickly take a man down in one hit is to shoot him in the head or the spinal cord, and those are hard shots to make on a moving target. So shoot 7 rounds to the chest and hope he dies.

  • @fidgetingfinch 7 rounds of .45 in the chest will kill anyone on earth. Or at least stop him from charging.

  • @ThroatSlitta If anyone can survive 7 rounds of .45, I will give them a fucking medal. A medal made of lead and in the shape of .45 ACP.

    :D

  • @fidgetingfinch

    lmao thats a good motivator!

  • @YTMbrianpeppersND your an idiot. my dad is a police officer who dealt with a guy who was walking the streets with a knife. so my dad went up to him with his gun out and the guy charged him. my dad shot him 3 times in the stomach and chest. the guy was on pcp so that obviously didnt take him down. my dad emptied his clip into this guy so around 9 to whatever his gun held. not everyone dies from one shot like in the movies. nice try little guy

  • @danecookification Wow, ok you just obviously didnt read waht i said. I said it should not be something to brag about to be able to empty a clip into a guy. I'm in FULL support of the police using deadly force on some fuck on pcp with a weapon. Stop putting words in my mouth, asshole.

  • @danecookification Congrats on your dad being a murderer. You must be so proud.

  • @MrGrevy lol shut up

  • @Piret223 Lol never.

  • @MrGrevy You'd better leave the country. Try to live in a country without gun laws like usa.

  • @Piret223 Huh? Why would I leave the country? I'd rather try to make positive change here. Violent weirdo.

  • @MrGrevy hippie

  • @Piret223 Not a hippie, just a sane reasonable person who is not obsessed with firearms. Please don't get mad and use your "daily carry" on me.

  • @YTMbrianpeppersND Think of it as pride in having a skill, which in this case is dumping a mag into a charging target. Anyway, if someone charges you and it's a situation where you would shoot, I'd err on the side of caution and shoot to stop, which could be as much as a full mag depending on shot placement and other conditions.

  • @timoyang1996 Yeah it takes real skill to squeeze a trigger and shoot a paper target. What an amazing accomplishment.

  • @SigSnob Calm down man, calm down. Mind your temper. No one is disagreeing with you or threatening you. I promise you don't need to use your "daily carry" to shoot anyone. Seriously though it is scary that someone as obviously angry and unstable as yourself is carrying a gun around. Disgraceful.

  • @YTMbrianpeppersND stupif

  • @YTMbrianpeppersND Don't make him mad. He may feel threatened and have to use his "daily carry".

  • @SigSnob Yes clearly being shot at is a daily occurrence for most people and we must be prepared to shoot back. How much time do you spend preparing for situations that might ACTUALLY happen?? Goofy retard.

  • @MrGrevy

It is ironic that you would call an individual a retard while dismissing the statistics that professor Lott over at the University of Chicago published some time ago and yet championing yourself as an individual who makes logical decisions based upon statistics.

  • @bnctaj Look man I'm sorry - please don't take out your "daily carry" on me. I agree with whatever you say.

  • @MrGrevy

You seem rather intent on the opinion that those who disagree with you will resort to nothing further than violence, while you yourself refuse to admit defeat within a debate by engaging in an equal illegitimate form of banter given the context.

  • That's just criminally irresponsible.

  • sig sauer p220

    only 7 shots

as service weapon, when do you ever need more than 7 shots anyway

and for assassination, if he is not dead in 7 shots, shame on you

  • Who knew? You don't need to spend hundreds of dollars on professional training. All you have to do is read youtube comments to find the latest and greatest in self-defense advice.

  • I love how objective this test is. The gun guy isn't expecting the target AT ALL. I mean.

Totally realist depiction of how it happens in the streets.

short version : that was completly retarded and if you can't see it you're retarded too.

  • @chibraxial He can see it, and if you're carrying you should treat anyone you don't know and can see as a potential threat; especially those within the "rule of thumb" distance. Anyone who's going to attack you is likely going to be giving off some telltale signs anyways. It's called situational awareness.

Yeah it's not a perfect test, but it proves a point: you can accurately empty a mag at a charging target from 21 feet.

  • @chibraxial Basically what you're saying is, "if you don't think like me then you're stupid". Got it, you're an arrogant bastard.

  • @Razr89A

That is kind of what' I'm saying, yes. And I'm right.

  • @chibraxial Well as long as you've done your research :P

  • The spread of impact areas is what will put a target down. I never give my rounds sloppy seconds.

  • No pistol bullet has the 'stopping ' or 'knockdown' power required to end an immediate threat, short of a CNS(brain or upper spine) hit. Rifles are a different story. Even 4+ hits in organs, including the heart, leave the target with 10-15 seconds of oxygen plus adrenalin to remain a threat. Those who stop immediately after being hit with a 22 or a 45 do so for psychological reasons.

  • @mrmott44 SO TrUE!!

  • Swiss weapons SIG ;-D

  • if that was a real guy that 45 would have dropped him dead after the 2 shot.

  • This is a decent drill but tactically no one in their right mind would be smart enough to just stand there in the same spot and shoot at a charging assailant. Thats a move destined for disaster.

  • @bigbluemsp you would be surprised what tunnel vision and tachycardia cause you to do. Many people would find themselves standing their ground simply because they don't react with a complex task of drawing the weapon and employing lateral movement.

  • Good excercise and very effective shooting! Remind me not to make any sudden movements around that guy!

  • It that were a real assailant he would've been dead and on the ground due to any of those shots.

  • not if he was armed. (a likely scenario in real life) It would be much harder to shoot while being shot at and ducking for cover.

  • well, bad group i guess but i wouldn't say so amateur. First shot.45 acp to the sternum. Try running after that.

  • nice vid

  • if you can still charge like that after 7 rounds of .45 in your chest, your a badass

  • Or a zombie

  • or wearing a bullet resistant vest

  • ive never been shot with a 45 while wearing a vest but i think maybe itd be like getting hit with a sledgehammer to the chest.... thats a lot of energy coming at you

  • It's not that much energy. If it were the shooter would be thrown backward by an equal amount and that doesn't happen.

  • @kronic2233 No your CHUCK NORRIS!!

  • @raptor660kid chuck norris isnt a badass?

  • @kronic2233 no chuck norris is the only man bad ass enough to charge through that :)

  • @kronic2233 or a zombie

  • @RandomDirectors Damn strait

  • @kronic2233 or your hopped up on PCP or something similar. It can happen.

  • @kronic2233 or just Chuck Norris

  • it is a cool exercise, but he still "knows" that something like this will happen

so you really cant tell if anyone would be that quick, but it is def. good for practice

  • definitely good practice. Makes you less jumpy.

  • Pretty cool exercise.

  • Someone told me that the Police use the 21 foot distance as their measure of when someone is inside 'the lethal zone' - i.e is able to rush and stab you before you can get your weapon unholstered.

    Is that correct?

  • Yes that is!

  • @kiwitedferny

yes this is actually true, that is the distance, and can be covored in less than 3 seconds

  • this is such a good idea because its alomost exactly like real life hahaha you could maybe even make one that pops out of a door or corner and comes at you.

    great vid!!!

  • WOW! That is such a good idea. I love this vid man. I am thinking about getting a p220 .45, I am torn between it and a ak47.

  • Don't get an AK47 get a Arsenal SLR-105A1. And for a .45 get a FNP-45

  • p220, much more practical

  • @FJCruiser29

Well, the 'holes' that appear visible in the target are actually just white tape, patching previous holes. The new holes are almost black, blending in on the video with the black paper of the target.

  • @FJCruiser29 notice the dirt in the backround as the bullets go through the target

  • @FJCruiser29

    spambot WTF

  • @FJCruiser29 You can clearly see them count the holes that are no where near the wholes you saw.

  • @FJCruiser29 You can clearly see them count the holes which are no where near the holes that were already there.

  • Very nicely done.

  • This is a great idea. The average person can cover that distance in 1.5 seconds. So this truly relates to a real life defense situation. This is what you should have to do to get a CCW, not shoot at a paper target. Excellent Video!

  • The bad guy must have been on LSD to make it 21 feet...

  • I love this type of action. Really original. Great vid

  • awesome

  • dam i have to make one of those rigs for the next time i go shooting

  • Nice!

  • good shootin tex

  • Good reaction, good shot-placement.

  • THAT WAS AWESOME!

  • that was good! nice recoil control

  • Is that an old lawn mower? How is it set up with a runner, I would love to get a set up like this. Please let me know,

  • Great drill!

  • I think it's safe to say he's dead.

  • If you didn't kill him you sure would have made him leak alot.

  • but it turns out that it was a girl scout...

but its OK, she didn't have thin mints.

  • nice grouping, I think it's dead >:D

  • Excellent pistol drill

  • Wow John! No idea your video had so many views!

  • You are great man!
