  • Congratulations, Madam Justice.

  • yah, you like those women with hips like dudes..what does that make you, JackShephard? go figure

  • I didn't see the hearings myself (as I was too busy working and making a living), but I'd heard that those so-called Conservatives that were asking questions and supposed to be representing Conservative interests, pulled their punches with this lady and thus she is guaranteed to "breeze to the nomination"!

Isn't that wonderful? A woman that obviously has it in for whitey, is going to get a life-long gravy job that allows her to shit on white males!

The country is finished. Sell-outs killed it.

  • do your homework. about ninety percent of the time she has thrown out discrimination cases which have been brought to bear by african and hispanic americans, not whites.

  • i agree

  • Come on Franken. Don't make us Minnesotans look like idiots. Ask her a real fucking question.

  • A real question? Like what?

No one in that room is asking real questions. I think he showed what a silly train wreck the GOP has made of this process without pointing his finger at them and screaming - "WTF is wrong with you shitheads!?!"

  • She looks tired...yeah...so many retoric (and stupid) questions.Too hard to admit for those MACHOS that an SPANISH (WOMAN!) will be part of the SUPREME COURT! 'WIND OF CHANGE..." (I feel sorry for THE WHITE SUPREMACY.)

  • champion, sorry you can't really turn it around on anyone else. The only one with questions about racial superiority thoughts in this hearing process was Sotomayor after saying on many occasions that she hoped a wise Latina could reach a better decision than a white male. The only supremacy movement you can talk about here without pulling it out of your butt is La Raza. BTW I wish Miguel Estrada hadn't been filibustered by the Demo scum when the Repubs were in charge. Smart hispanic judge.

  • Sadly people don't respect others and put their opinions one over the other. There is the term agree to disagree.

  • Nice to know we have some people in government who are human beings, who understand human beings and can talk above their "peers" who are out to prove we are incapable of being human.

  • here is this woman seeking the one of the most highest positions in the country and this idiot wanna be comedian think hes funny

  • "Perry Mason" - "The Case of the Deadly Verdict (1963)"

    I WIN!!! WOOOT

  • I was a white kid raised in a spanish home and environment. I was treated like trash and like a plague. Most spanish people are extremely prejudiced. They are a proud and humble people but they despise whites. They were probably reacting to racism against them, but don't think for a minute that they are not racist. There should never be a case or issue just because of color. All should be merit and character based.

  • I agree with your statement that "There should never be a case or issue just because of color", but you claim to have been raised in a Spanish home and then you talk about color of skin. Spanish people are caucasion...../white people.

I take it that you meant to say south of the border people such Mexicans, Hondurans, Brazillians...etc... Right? Mexicans speak spanish but they are not Spaniards from Spain.

  • My Step-mom is Mexican American...latino wasn't a term when I was growing up. I accidently referred to a Puerto Rican friend as a Mexican once and he got real defensive. But growing up my uncles would kick me and burn me with their cigarettes, an aunt would not let me go in her house, other things because of my race which apparently was "white trash honky" when I got older and figured out what that was I got offended...

  • the funny part is, they are totally right. White trash honkey sounds like it fits you perfectly.

  • Wow! That coming from someone who can't even spell "honky". I see you support vulgarity and abuse toward children including pedophilia since you said they are totally right. Yes I am white trash, redneck, honky...but the good news is I am redeemed by the blood of Christ. My point is that there is prejudices and racism in every nationality. I still pray for them and have forgiven them but apparently you have revealed your racist side!

  • it can be spelled honky, honkey or honkie, look it up!

You're right though, I am really conflicted being racist against myself as a white male.

  • Nope...your wrong! I am a honky...so I ought to know how to spell it. You are still a lover of child abusers and pedophiles regardless of your color. Apparently you have psychotic perverted issues to relish in the mental and physical abuse of children by condoning it and agreeing with the criminal against those assaulted... You are the picture of the 3% that is trying to destroy this great nation.

  • when it comes to made-up stories in the YouTube comments section, you bet. Whatever makes you feel better.

  • Nothing like going backwards on race relations, but Democrats are ok with a prejudiced person on the bench.

  • I love white males complaining about racism.

  • why?

  • Yes, especially when racism seems stronger among the people of color in the world as a whole.

  • Have you looked at the republican party???

If you bothered to pay any attention to what she has said you'll realize she isn't a racist. Stop following projection and pay some attention it will do you some good.

  • Can you imagine if a white nominee had said "I would hope that a wise white man with the richness of his experiences would, more often than not, reach a better conclusion than a Black or Latino?" HE WOULD HAVE BEEN RUN OUT OF TOWN AND FORCED TO WITDRAW IN ABOUT 10 MINUTES!! This woman must be stopped!!

  • no, he would be praised by all people and all minorities.

and wtf, ask a serious question franken.

  • If it was word for word and in the same context as when sotomayor said it then it would have been completely dismissed because there would have been nothing unappropriate in the context of the statement. But since its a spanish woman thats stating it of course its taken completely out of context by the party that is out of touch with reality and who mainly uses strongman arguements, apologetics, circular reasoning and just complete fact avoidence to argue thier case.

  • PLEASE.....first of all I said nothing about which party the nominee would have been from. Even if it was a white male Democrat, he would have been thrown under the bus in about 10 seconds. But for you to sit there and say it would have been dismissed is ridiculous. You're living in a dream world.

  • ........ Democrats don't fight like that, no where near the extent that the republican party does. "strongman arguements, apologetics, circular reasoning and just complete fact avoidence to argue thier case."

If the white male democrat said it in the same context he would not be thrown under the bus because the context was appropriate for the point.

You missed the entire point i was making.

  • She talks out of both sides of her mouth. I hear both sides and you hear one.

  • No it sounds like you are just hearing things or making them up.

  • She has history and a leopard doesn't change its spots just because statements carefully selected for confirmation hearing

  • Thats cute. Try stating some facts for your cases and then your anology won't be as empty.

  • You can google it, but try the "Editorial: Sotomayor's self-contradiction, The nominee argues against herself" at Wed, July 15th The Washington Times.

  • And Sessions' history of being a racist asshole, makes it all better, right?

  • How is Sessions a racist and also, he isn't up for life time appointment to Supreme Court judgeship?

  • he was up for a lifetime appointment to the federal bench, but got blocked for being a racist. Ironic, isn't it?

  • Do research and don't perpetuate this falsehood. He was exonerated from this accusation. He is *not* a racist.

  • Dude, I apologize. Sessions is not a racist. He's a bigot and a racist asshole.

  • You spelled Sotomayor wrong.

  • So, if you say something that makes it so?

  • No. You can go back and watch or read about Sessions 1986 confirmation hearings to appoint him to a federal judgeship. That pretty much displays what kind of man he is.

  • Absolutely phenomenal!! Within a few days, Al Franken has one of the most memorable moments of this year's Senate term!!

  • Leahy fell asleep, as he should have.
