  • andrew stockdale's a really talented guy, but seems like he's a bit of a plonker at times, like he just wants everything for himself

  • WOW so he DOES play the riff and sings the lyrics at the same time! that must take an awful lot of talent and concentration

  • Its not insanely hard to do. Its harder to come up with such an amazing song in the first place in my opinion.

  • They're both amazingly hard.

  • its super hard.. i tried it with joker and the thief.. it took me forever to get it right

  • this isnt very well shot

  • if i was filming that it wouldnt be very good because i would be fuckin jumpin up and down! :D WOOO WOLFMOTHER!

  • bad recording

  • ur pretty damn retarded

  • maybe it's just the stage but andrew looks like a giant in this video

  • Yeah... you can sorta tell that the inspiration for the main riff of Joker n the Thief came from Whole Lotta Love, and the intro from Paranoid. :/

Oh well, they have good taste at least, and play good music, even if it is derivative. And then, they do have the whole Queens of the Stone Age + Kyuss thing going on too.

  • tell me one song that sounds like something zep or sabbath have made... or is it just that they have a 70s style?

    explain now

  • I agree totally. I can't find a Led Zep sound. If anything, they have a Traffic sound, considering the intro to this song uses the same chord progression as Dear Mr Fantasy (which is totally acceptable).

  • They are really original, I don't see how they copy. They may have been influenced, but not copying.

  • great song

  • This is why I avoid videos with the word "live." Usually screechy, low quality audio shot on a camcorder that someone snuck past security.

  • LOL maybe more like 10 bottles of teuila.

  • Good song. Sucky video- who shot it? after drinking 20 Starbucks and ten lines of coke???

  • damn i thought they had a new song when i saw gnomes as a song on their site

  • they renamed it to just tales on the us version of the album

  • its called tales on the album, but tales from the forest of gnomes everywhere else. great song :D

  • the song is called tales

  • With all due respect, delete your post from youtube,

    you are absolute crap man

  • its not colossal.

  • this song is called collosal

  • all rock is a mix of blues and jazz

wolfmother did something that really not alot of band's have done before

they took classic rock used a bit more distortion and still was able crank out some good blues riffs like in woman

  • woah your right

    go wolfmother

  • damn straight im right :P

  • Black Sabbath.

    Led Zeppelin.

Every 70's Rock & Roll band.

  • honestly if we want to talk about woman sounding like roadhouse blues then we would have to bear in mind that 9 in 10 blues songs are exactly the same musically. try listening to the music for what it is, WOLFMOTHER!

  • that you and all chord progressions go the same in blues song 1 4 5 or 1 4 filler 1 4

  • lol, you rejects... who cares if there not orignal? there good arent they? most people take their insperations from things before. many songs could be influenced by other bands and songs. does it mean its not good? the final line is wolfmother are a band influenced heavily by bands such as led zeppelin... zeppelin used heaps of blue's influences and many songs sound like other blues songs... does this mean that one of the greatest bands of al time are unorinal and crap? ehhh? negative!

  • Woooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • pfft, rock bands have been using blues styles and stuff for writing songs since the dawn of time, most metal and rock solos are variations of the blues scale, just really fast and distorted and a little different, and unless you ARE an accomplished musician, you shouldnt say anything

  • wolfmother owns straight up.

  • I love wolfmother but honestly they dont sound good there, They sound really tired. They sounded alot better hen they played here in oklahoma.

  • ya love the song though. i wish i coulda seen em when they came through colorodo, fuck 16 an up shows.

  • he started using a double neck on this song and white unicorn at least in Denver he did

  • wolfmother kicks so much ass, no matter wat anyone says, they only have one album and look at thier fame

  • why would people bother watching this video if they claim to hate wolfmother so much?

  • isn't this song called mind's eye...it is on the CD

  • worst song and band ever!

  • fuck you and your oppinon of bands.

  • god that was a good comeback. you must have been the smartest kid in class. you've really opened my eyes and changed my mind on wolfmother because if people as smart as you like them they must be respectable.

  • Yeah I will admit Wolfmother isn't the greatest live band...

  • You prolly like girl bands or boy bands, even more, you prolly touch children...

  • hey, kristiankovac, instead of wasting your sad excuse for a life posting comments for videos that you dont like why dont you go back to your shitty emo music and pleasing yourslef to internet porn.

  • yeah. yet another good comeback. i must like emo if i dont like this shit. this is just a copy band of all the great bands that i admire. my hate for wolfmother is even greater than my hate for emo's. so why don't you go back to your shitty emo music and pleasing yourself with internet porn.

  • u a fuckhead if u think wolfmother blows

  • then consider me king fuckhead!

  • your th gayest person i know if i find u ill kill u

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

  • hey hey, whats wrong with internet porn?

  • you don't watch porn?

  • kristiankovac, they dont flat out copy bands (unlike JET) but they are influenced by them, and theres nothing wrong with that. Just be thankful theyre a new band that actually has talent unlike most of the other shit thats out right now.

  • what do you mean they dont flat out copy bands? have you by any chance heard Roadhouse Blues by the Doors? Woman's riff is exactly the same! they are one of the most unoriginal bands ever. and thats not an overstatement.

  • hi, yeah. are you a musician? no. great. do you know anything about BLUES? no... i thought so. The riff from road house blues is the most common blues riff in the world... people used it beofre the doors... people used it after them. you can comment about unoriginality.... but not about plagiarism, they are different things.

  • actually. i am a musician. yeah. great. and i listen to more blues than you can imagine. every kind of blues from every era, and i dont know what the hell you're talking about. and if i hear one more person say that wolfmother are original i will f*@#ing snap! do you know anything about music? no... i thought so.

  • wolfmother are original.

  • you ARE an idiot

  • no, i IS an idiot.

    p.s. you suck

  • wtf mate, yes i have heard roadhouse blues and its nothing like woman its fukin ten times slower

  • o my god. so does that mean wolfmother didnt copy it?

i bet they just said "lets just increase the tempo so no one relates it to roadhouse blues" oh. its the same riff but a bit quicker! they musnt have copied it. im gonna right a new song with the smoke on the water riff and just play it faster and call it my own song. god. im gonna trick so many idiots and make so much money!!

  • Suck my dick

  • i hate u so much.

  • fjjgjknaulnjfnmncjndjkfbgjdhabbbgbgabydshsbdfgsdhbdghfsjhgfyjsegfsgyydfasfgfasfj
