  • shit deal

  • @NightmareSteve it has to outputs on the head so if you want to add another cab you can the cab itself only neads one

  • I have an AVT50 head with a Peavey cab and when i added a EQ, and an overdrive pedal (I use a MXR classic OD, a Delta OD, and a Boss Power Stack depending on distortion level I'm looking for) this thing really came to life. The EQ pedal really gives this amp a ton of depth.

  • is this tubed?

  • @FDTA94

its a hybrid amp. it is tubed but not an all tube amp

  • can you plug a combo amp into a cabinet

  • thank you for screwing up my ears at 1:50

  • ino wat the fuck

  • The cab has only one output jack while the AVT-50 has two input jacks, so how do you connect it?

  • This cabinet it's versatil? for example for the Dime tone and the Slash tone ? dude...

  • @h2ogunmaet these cabs sound like shit. Look for a nice v30 or greenback loaded cab on the web, they come pretty cheap. I see alot of 1960's going for $350

  • the speaker should work if i dont use an amp just a multieffect processor, it works with headphones so will it with the marshall? pls answer

  • still for sale?

  • what song is that @ 1:54?

  • @mdaugherty1988 Funk #49 James Gang

  • I'm getting one :D

Who knows a good shop were to buy in Europe? (:

  • @Rogiercover Thomann

  • what song was that at 2:38? tnx

  • @MrEphi123 December by Collective Soul

  • are they sold or can i still buy them?

  • is this solid state or tube?

  • @chompykitty

    tube

  • @TnTMusic64 Its hybrid, tube preamp, solid state power amp.

  • Were to buy?

I need an amp, a half stack, and i'm looking for this head + cabinet :)

  • @Rogiercover this amp has a cheap chip inside of it and isnt worth getting (i own one) but the cab is great

  • hey you probably sold this amp and speaker cab a long time ago, lol but is it still for sale?

  • saturated...!

  • wow thats totally clipping the mic

  • 1) would this be good for metal songs and stuff??

    2) would this be good for playing at gigs??

    thanks :)

  • @smeadows26 yah man ive had the combo version of this since 03 and i played many gigs with that and i got compliments on my tone all the time

  • lol u just make a price aas u go go and throw the pedal lol

  • 'this fancy marshall footswitch' JOKE IT HAS ONE BUTTON!!! :D

  • buy Marshall AVT 412AX cab for your head, cab MG is shit for the AVT heads !

  • OMG!!!! Brother..."DO NOT SAY ONLY PROBLEM" when you're trying to sell!!! You HAD me til I heard that!

  • your mic almost made it sound better.

  • have the head distorsion?

  • KOBIBA uses Marshall AVT-50 Combo :D

  • that buzzing you guy's were hearing is the fan, they tend to need a drop of oil once in awile. I've used clipper oil fi did the trick.

  • Wow, that mic is raping my ears.

  • what an avt is is an that usees a preamp tube on the out put of the preamp meaning its still solidstae distortion coming from the op amps and the preamp tube shapes the clipping

  • would this cab sound good with a Marshall AVT150H head?

  • I dont know if it will hurt it. It most likely wont as long as the ohms match, but it wont be able to produce the tones you would want. Its not built for the dynamic range of the class A.

  • can you use any head with the mg 412 cab?

  • @theboywhocantollie The mg cab is designed for Solid state. You can get a really nice used 1960/jcm 900 marshall cab for the price of a new mg cab anyday if you prefer the Marshall tone.

  • but can it be used with a tube head fine?

  • you can use any head with any cab, but its better to have the head maching the cab if u get me, the mg412 is supossed to be used with the mg100dfx but is can be used with anything hope this helpes

  • @SwanSong2156

exactly i have athe avt 150 head,, and i recomend you line 6 cab,, those are much better if you have money for an old 1960 marshall cab.

  • Thats not ur pre amp tube!!!! Thats the cooling fan, mine did the same thing,I took the cover off the back and saw the fan bearings were making the noise, easy fix just replace the fan...it plugs right into the circuit board. And tell ur tech buddy that its not the tubes;-)

  • i had an avt50 going through a fender.m80.4-12 and it was baddass 4 death metal it was louder and and cleaner with alot of distortion than his vavlesatate hole stack

  • what is this song from 02.36 to 03.10 ?? ! nice !

  • december - collective soul you should learn it its easy as hell to play. he messed up a little bit. but oh well

  • I just got this cab for Christmas. I am using it with the JVM 410 and, it actually sounds pretty darn good.

  • is the amp still available??

  • Dude, I have an AVT 50 I run through a Mesa 2x12 Recto cab. Yours sounds like shit. Shitcan that lousy MG cab

  • This may sound noobish. . but do you need a cab to play an amp head. . .im sure you do but. .

  • Yes, you do.

  • no you don't.. You can run it into an "attenuator" (limiter) and then use the output of the attenuator, commonly knows as a "hotplate" and run it into your mixer, stereo etc.

  • everyone this is a hybrid amp... NOT all tubes. BTW that MG cab sounds bad.

  • What cabs would you reccomend putting this amp through.

  • is this an all tube amp because it is very good value

  • what part of canada you live? its a good price dude.

  • this isnt still available, is it ?

  • you are not supposed to play the amp when the tubes are warming up u could mess it all up i am telling you from experiance(i know i have bad spelin)

  • you are talking about power tubes...this amp only has a preamp tube.

  • damn dude i did not no that... in that case does it still sound like a all tube marshall cause i have never played with an amp with just a powere tube

  • im with u this viedo did nothing good for his sale!

  • I can't imagine this clip helped sell the amp.

  • @MajorImpact I know...first he said the pre amp tube was whinning(fan bearings)then the sound of the amp was really rough.

  • It's good for live?

  • HOLY FUCK ILL BUY IT IM CANADIAN :D

  • thats not a tube sound its the fan over the solid state power amp.. had one back in the day and blew the power amp. i dont know why i bothered fixing it but i did and a week later?... you guessed it.

  • what's the difference between a 50 and a 50h

  • the H stands for HEAD, without the H is a COMBO

  • selling that cheap?

  • Can I put a Fender Bandman head on the marshal cab?

  • why not

  • How much was it?

  • 2nd song i believe its by Collective Soul

  • Is it made in U.S.A?

  • nop...

    Made In England....

  • whats the second song you play?

  • whats CAD??

  • Canadian dollars.

  • The MG412 cabinet costs like 3 times less than the 'all tube' Marshall's... For its cost and sound it's bloody good I'd say.

  • why get a head that is a mix between solid sate and tube???? go all tube or go home. marshall jcm 2000! and ditch the mg cab. if you love marshall that much get the 1960s cab..... or if you just want the best cab for the job go Orange.

  • hmm...why do u think they make solid state amps or hybrids??? i wooonder.........hmm....maaaybe...KUS THEYR CHEAPER!!!??!? wow like seriously..not anyone can spend $3000 on an amp....thats what the avt series is for...they sound better than solid states but theyr still nto as good as tubes..and theyr alot cheaper

  • some people can't afford a tube amp or don't want to put up with maintaining them. Or have neighbours like mine >.>

so sometimes a mix between or even just solid state is the best choice for some.

  • lol true that to everything you said.

  • is this a tube amp??

  • hybrid, with one preamp tube only

    cheers

  • On another note what was the second song he was playing? I know but can't remember who plays it.

  • Where did you get it for 290?! i have been looking all over (yes i live in canada) and i can only seem too find it for 499 or more! :(

  • the AVT range fails in comparison to the original valvestate line, for example the 8100 halfstack.

  • i want to by the head

  • hey guys im thinking of getting this amp over in my town, ive got a 120 watt 2x10 line 6 spider. i lose most of my low end when i turn up past 12 o clock. now i realize this is only 50 watts but the argument of watts vs actually how load an amp gets is a dispute. so if someone could just tell me if this setup would be louder then mine and give me that low end to where i want to turn it up

Thanks for reading that long comment!

  • spider sux... sucks... im beginning to hate mine... i hate computer kinda sound.

  • are you fro Montreal .torronto ???

  • is it tube?

  • hybrid

  • whats a hybrid?

  • that means the power amp section is solid state and the pre-amp is valve(12AX7 tubes) i think it is good for what you pay

  • dude, can it sound nearly like tube amp ?

  • Well it wont have a nice warm tone but it will sound better than a solid-state amp...

  • can i fix that difference with boss eq pedal or something ?

  • You could get a better tone but not a tube one

  • man,I bay it last week, and i loooved sound that he make...

in this video, sound is crap...but, when you play it live....deam,for that money, nothing better..;)

  • I think the noise at the start up of the amp is the FAN

My buds AVT Marshall does it too

  • MAN DO YOU STILL HAVE THIS FOR SALE!!

  • hey apguitar. yes it's a valve amp..AVT= advaced valvestate technology :P

btw blenbillyk the first song was Funk 49 by The Eagles, right :D .......niceee

  • is this tube???

  • Sounds like you miked it wrong.

  • Have you tried swappin the valve for 25 watt low energy bulb, really improves the tone of these amps,

  • get peavey valveking instead of the solidstate amp

  • Horses for couses they say. Valve isnt always better. Dime Bag used Solid state Randall amps all the way through his career with Pantera, Static X used solid state Marshall heads for a while, Meshuggah use solid state Line 6 Vetta Heads. It all depends on what tone you want.

  • your right, although i think in time a musicians ear develops and after a while people arrive at the valve sound stage in their playing lifetime

  • I dont get why people crank AVTs. They dont have poweramp tubes.

  • I crank my Vox Ad30 (another hybrid amp), the louder it goes the better it sounds. Harmonics pop out more, better saturation etc. I have the preamp volume up fullso that may have something to do with it.

  • vox hybrid amps use the 12ax7 in the power section, not the preamp section. which is why it sounds better as it gets louder or as u turn the wattage down.

its what makes them differant from the rest.

amps sound better when their louder because it makes the power tubes produce more electrons.

You dont get the same effect if the power section of an amp has no tubes.

  • You're wrong. Vox hybrid amps use the 12ax7 in the preamp section. The 12ax7 is a preamp tube, not a power tube. The power amp is solid state. If the power section were tube, you'd need an output transformer, which vox hybrids don't have.

  • nope, your wrong. go watch the world music suply demo video, that guy is vox's official demo guy.

    do ur research,.

  • Sorry mate, wrongo. I know my amp inside out (taken it apart several time to retreieve the jack socket when it fals inside because of the shitty plastic nut they use), the 12ax7 is in the preamp section, its even in the amp specs. The power amp however does have valve emulation circuitry.

  • as i said go watch the world music supply vid, at 1 minute 50 secs he tells u that the special thing is that normal they would use the 12ax7 in the preamp section but in the advt they use it in the power section.

  • Look on the vox site, its in the specs for the amp. Music supply have got it wrong.

  • you are killing my ears

  • whts it being played out of is its not the cab and the head dusnt have a speaker???

  • im selling mine too. I have the same thing but I'm selling the Full Stack for 700. They sound really good, though

  • do you accept american dollars?

  • what song did you play on 2:28 - 3:11???

  • that's terrible°°

  • I cant tell what sucks more, the cab or the amp. i have this exact rig (but it was only $200 brand new so i wasnt gunna pass that up) and i HATE the tone, I cant figure out what sucks more.

  • What a horrible tone =/

  • DO NOT BUY! That noise is a fan problem not a tube problem. I'm surprized this so-called "tech" couldn't figure it out. If it's not fixed the amp will overheat and will no longer work.

  • NOTE: The microphone I was using is extremely cheap, so at loud volumes (since I was playing the amp slightly loud right in front of my cheap microphone) distorts the sound. Sorry the microphone doesn't do the amp justice.
