@Biostech2008 Well,Canada has had single payer for years and it has resulted in a shortage of maternity beds,long waits for operations etc..and they are beginning to move away from it...I was referring to the auto industry, as well as portions of the financial sector that got TARP funds to keep them afloat...which only obligates them to Washington and makes them beholden to politicians...the more political considerations play a part in the market,the more distorted they become

@Biostech2008 Well,already lots of Canadians are coming to the US for treatment they can't get at home or would have to wait an eternity for...so I don't know how Canada could realistically spread the load any differently....the real problem is that public sector jobs are growing but private sector jobs aren't...and if the private sector is stagnant,there isn't enough tax revenue to pay for the new govt jobs...next time put your money into tax exempt bonds...lower yield,but safer in the long run

Or maybe private sector jobs became an oversight, and the Canadian government unknowingly allowed it to suffer growth. Yet today 90% of med students go into the field because of high pay, it has become THE highest paying field. All Med professionals, especially dentists should be compaled to give some free service back to the poor because they are partially educated by government grants which is money that has been taken from the pay checks of every US citizen that has ever worked.

Our Democratic Party has already lost the equivalent of every member we have acquired over the past seven years or more, and many of them are now supporting the tea party. More importantly, a recent Newsweek cover declared, "We are all socialists now."
In spite of everything our Democratic Party representatives in Washington will borrow $1.6 trillion this year, or about $15,000 for every household in the country. Over the next 10 years our federal government is expected to borrow an additional $8.5 trillion, and this is on top of the 12 trillion we currently owe. These figures are beyond being enormous, especially since we already pay one in seven dollars in interest
Looking back, most voters still consider the bailouts of both the finance and auto industries to be a bad idea. By a 2-to-1 margin, voters believe the bailouts hurt the economy in the long run.
Meanwhile our middle-class families are looking for more than empty promises. They want to go back to work. And they want our Democratic Party representatives who run Washington to stop pursuing a big government, big spending agenda that includes a government takeover of health care, stimulus bills, a new national energy tax and taxpayer-funded bailouts.
Obama doesn’t really see himself as President of the United States , but more as a ruler over the world. Obama sees himself above it all, trying to orchestrate & coordinate various countries and their agendas. Obama’s apology tour is a prime example of how he sees America , as an imperialist nation that has been arrogant, rather than a great noble nation that has at times made errors. This is the first President ever who has chastised our allies and appeased our enemies!
Obama has surrounded himself with mostly far-left academic types. No one around him has ever even run a candy store. But they are going to try and run the auto, financial, banking and other industries. This obviously can’t work in the long run. Obama is not a socialist; rather he’s a far-left secular progressive bent on nothing short of revolution. He ran as a moderate, but will govern from the hard left. Again, watch what he does, not what he says.
Obama has a ruthless quest for power. He did not come to Washington to make something out of himself, but rather to change everything, including dismantling capitalism. He can’t be straightforward on his ambitions, as the public would not go along.
Karl Marx and Thomas Jefferson highlight the differences between collectivism and individualism. The philosophy of collectivism regards the individual as a means to society’s ends and is thus immoral, whereas individualism respects the freedom and autonomy of each member of society.

Based on this logic, government programs that involuntarily transfer or redistribute wealth are immoral because they violate the individual’s natural right to order his own actions and possessions. Theft is immoral. Likewise, theft via the government is immoral.
Then there’s the transparency we were promised. Bloomberg News and Fox News had to file separate lawsuits, which a federal appeals court ruled on in their favor, to gain access to documents that show which banks received emergency short term lending from the Federal Reserve after Obama’s government denied their requests.
And now we have great rhetoric being hurled about on his healthcare “reform.”
There was the trillion-dollar purchase of mortgage-backed securities…to save people’s homes and ignite the home buying market.
For the past 12 consecutive months foreclosures have averaged over 300,000 per month and sales of new homes fell by 2.2% to an annual pace of only 308,000, the slowest rate of growth since records were first recorded in 1963.
The nation’s unemployment rate is 9.7 percent at the beginning of April 2010, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This despite the promise that billions for a shovel ready jobs bill would bring it down below 8% within a year. And they’ve added billions more to it while also tying every bill that comes before them as being a jobs creator.
Obama continues to use rhetoric to exaggerate his false successes. However, will it be enough to indoctrinate the voting citizenry into believing in successful change?
Democrats are not trying to keep black children out, but in. In public opinion polls on school choice, blacks overwhelmingly favor vouchers to rescue their children from failing schools. No one knows better the damage that poor schools can do to their children’s future and communities than blacks. Republicans are in favor of school choice. Democrats aren’t.
Let us not forget the Democrats throughout the United States organized and ran America’s premier terrorist organization – the Ku Klux Klan.
And speaking of the Klan, remember the great Democrat President Woodrow Wilson? After a screening of D.W. Despite the fact that the overwhelming majority of Americans are satisfied with their health care, progressives seize on (and inflate) the relatively small number without adequate access as a beachhead in their war to convert the U.S. to socialized medicine. They cite health care’s enormous costs without acknowledging that their programs (Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP, employer-based coverage caused by FDR’s wage controls, and now Obamacare) are the principal drivers of the astronomical costs.
Deficits and Debt. Progressives legitimately assert that the threat to the nation from runaway deficits is grave — even existential — and that enormous sacrifice will be required to win this war. What they fail to mention is that their policies caused — and continue to exacerbate — the threat.
Our postmodern president trots around the globe bowing to our enemies, pledging to disarm, sundering our alliances, denigrating the country he heads, and humiliating the leaders of our (former) closest allies. He eviscerates our arsenal, dismantles our intelligence capabilities, and willfully ignores the most blatant threats to the United States. To speak of him as a warrior is the height of absurdity.
After reviewing all of the evidence, many believe America would have never experienced racism to the degree that it has, had not the Democrats promoted it through:
After exclusively giving the Democrats their votes for the past 25 years, the average African American cannot point to one piece of civil rights legislation sponsored solely by the Democratic Party that was specifically designed to eradicate the unique problems that African Americans face today. Congressional records show that all previous legislation (since 1964) had strong bi-partisan support, even though some Democrats debated and voted against these laws.

History reveals that every piece of racist legislation that was ever passed and every racist terrorist attack that was ever inflicted on African Americans, was initiated by the members of the Democratic Party. From the formation of the Democratic Party in 1792 to the Civil Rights movement of 1960’s, Congressional records show the Democrat Party passed no specific laws to help Blacks, every law that they introduced into Congress was designed to hurt blacks in 1894 Repeal Act.
Most people are either a Democrat by design, or a Democrat by deception. That is either they were well aware the racist history of the Democrat Party and still chose to be Democrat, or they were deceived into thinking that the Democratic Party is a party that sincerely cared about Black people.
progressives know they must eliminate and distort the history pertaining to our Liberty in order to implement their agenda based on a Marxist form of socialized government. Without any doubt these progressives must be stopped and driven out our Democratic Party. Together we must let our voices be heard within our Democratic Party, and we need to vote them out of government office before it is to late.
Certainly many of us already realize the progressives have taken over our Democratic Party for their own agenda based on a Marxist form of socialized government. Overall these progressives roughly represent twenty percent of our Democratic Party, but we the majority have allowed them under their progressive socialist agenda to eliminate nearly everything written about Black History and Liberty from our children’s textbooks.
Put aside the racial overtones and harsh rhetoric for a moment and ask yourself, do you want to surrender your livelihood and the livelihood of your children and grandchildren so you can reap the benefits from a system that will starve them to death?
The real question is: when your 401K is wiped out by the stock market crash, what are you going to do? Will you stand up and decry what Capitalism has done to you, or will you see the truth? These times are being brought on by a government that wants to take care of you from cradle to grave, but what comes with the nanny-state is a total lack of Freedom. The citizens of the United States will become forced labor to a government that obviously no longer has their best interests at heart.
As it will be in the future, it was at the birth of Man There are only four things certain since Social Progress began. This is the part where Blacks and Latinos come in. You see, we are useful to the revolutionaries while they are destroying America, because they need our enmity and apathy. However, once the system is destroyed, they need productive people to build up their system, otherwise it, too, will fail. When they realize that they have encouraged people to be losers, to drain the system for all it’s worth, they will have to eliminate all that dead weight.
Socialists and Communists want a Utopia without money, suffering and pain. A “New World Order” so to speak. To get there, they have to collapse or overthrow all Capitalist systems. To do that, they need to overwhelm the system with government-funded welfare programs. When the programs fail, they create animosity towards “rich” people for not paying their “fair share”. They then overthrow the system or take over when it collapses and promise “fair” distribution of the resources.
Blacks and Latinos are the only groups in America that bought into the bullsh** that the Man was keeping them down. Everyone else looks at the first person to break a barrier (age, race, endurance, etc) as a motivator. Most people believe the old adage “anything you can do, I can do better.” But not us. We are constantly bitching about how we can’t, and it’s white people’s fault.
Minorities in this country, need to stop bitching about how they have been oppressed in the past. We have been carrying that baggage around for the last fifty years, and whining about how we can’t make it in America because of racism. So let me ask you this: Is it racism that put Sonia Sotomayor and Clarence Thomas in the Supreme Court? Is it racism that made Colin Powell and Condoleeza Rice Secretaries of State? Is it racism that made Geraldo Rivera one of the most well known names in America?
Progressives are trying to institute many of Karl Marx’s policies, in part because they have no concept of Liberty and Morality, but mostly because they ignore the lessons of History; in particular the Holocaust and the Holodomor. They like to tell you that the reason Socialism and Communism fail is because it hasn’t been tried under the right conditions yet. Marx, himself, believed that it would work best in a country that would have been at one time the very seat of Capitalism.
I realize though he's just a puppet. He can't control all this stuff. Theres too many players involved. The conspiracy runs too deep. He knows it. they all know it. Its why what happened to Kennedy happened. Because Kennedy exposed the evil bastards trying to pull the strings in the background. I'm not wanting anybody to be hurt. But I'm tired of liars and corruption. You'd figure if he were too, he'd say something about the assholes that started this crap.

The Labor Department this morning released its weekly report on jobless claims, and the data held a little bit of a nasty surprise. During the past week, initial claims for jobless benefits increased by 12,000 to a seasonally adjusted 472,000.

A Single-Payer healthcare system would cut out the greedy for profit insurence companies all together, simplify the billing process (again cutting costs & waste) and money used by your job for medical insurence can go into your pocket. What I would like to see is a fair formula for the patients...When we pay $20 dollars for a hospital pillow when we could have bought our own, same quality pillow for 6 bucks...it's ridiculous. I say force limits on services provided, it's ridiculous the mark-up that we the consumer in this situation pay. Regulate the amount of markup that is charged by simple common sense approaches such as verifying markup against receipts. Wow...simple solution to save money and keep doctors getting paid.

@Biostech2008 Well,Canada has had single payer for years and it has resulted in a shortage of maternity beds,long waits for operations etc..and they are beginning to move away from it...I was referring to the auto industry, as well as portions of the financial sector that got TARP funds to keep them afloat...which only obligates them to Washington and makes them beholden to politicians...the more political considerations play a part in the market,the more distorted they become

@Biostech2008 Well,already lots of Canadians are coming to the US for treatment they can't get at home or would have to wait an eternity for...so I don't know how Canada could realistically spread the load any differently....the real problem is that public sector jobs are growing but private sector jobs aren't...and if the private sector is stagnant,there isn't enough tax revenue to pay for the new govt jobs...next time put your money into tax exempt bonds...lower yield,but safer in the long run

Or maybe private sector jobs became an oversight, and the Canadian government unknowingly allowed it to suffer growth. We've taken steps here in America (small business and job growth), and i think it has helped us pretty well. Our problems are corruption and misappropriation of funds in pretty much everything else.

Has anyone in the history of economics ever determined what was fair. Ever find the consumer who thought the cost of product or service was fair, and the provider/producer who thought the price fair? This is the equivalent of making wine from water. I recommend the President avoid words like "fair," unless he's going to restore unicorns to our forests, too. As a friend, I would also advise the President to avoid the word "permanently," as it's not just impractical, it's scary.

Yet today 90% of med students go into the field because of high pay, it has become THE highest paying field. All Med professionals, especially dentists should be compaled to give some free service back to the poor because they are partially educated by government grants which is money that has been taken from the pay checks of every US citizen that has ever worked.

Deficits and Debt. Progressives legitimately assert that the threat to the nation from runaway deficits is grave — even existential — and that enormous sacrifice will be required to win this war. What they fail to mention is that their policies caused — and continue to exacerbate — the threat.

After exclusively giving the Democrats their votes for the past 25 years, the average African American cannot point to one piece of civil rights legislation sponsored solely by the Democratic Party that was specifically designed to eradicate the unique problems that African Americans face today. Congressional records show that all previous legislation (since 1964) had strong bi-partisan support, even though some Democrats debated and voted against these laws.

History reveals that every piece of racist legislation that was ever passed and every racist terrorist attack that was ever inflicted on African Americans, was initiated by the members of the Democratic Party. From the formation of the Democratic Party in 1792 to the Civil Rights movement of 1960’s, Congressional records show the Democrat Party passed no specific laws to help Blacks, every law that they introduced into Congress was designed to hurt blacks in 1894 Repeal Act.

Certainly many of us already realize the progressives have taken over our Democratic Party for their own agenda based on a Marxist form of socialized government. Overall these progressives roughly represent twenty percent of our Democratic Party, but we the majority have allowed them under their progressive socialist agenda to eliminate nearly everything written about Black History and Liberty from our children’s textbooks.

The real question is: when your 401K is wiped out by the stock market crash, what are you going to do? Will you stand up and decry what Capitalism has done to you, or will you see the truth? These times are being brought on by a government that wants to take care of you from cradle to grave, but what comes with the nanny-state is a total lack of Freedom. This is the part where Blacks and Latinos come in. You see, we are useful to the revolutionaries while they are destroying America, because they need our enmity and apathy. However, once the system is destroyed, they need productive people to build up their system, otherwise it, too, will fail. When they realize that they have encouraged people to be losers, to drain the system for all it’s worth, they will have to eliminate all that dead weight.

Socialists and Communists want a Utopia without money, suffering and pain. A “New World Order” so to speak. To get there, they have to collapse or overthrow all Capitalist systems. To do that, they need to overwhelm the system with government-funded welfare programs. When the programs fail, they create animosity towards “rich” people for not paying their “fair share”. They then overthrow the system or take over when it collapses and promise “fair” distribution of the resources.

Progressives are trying to institute many of Karl Marx’s policies, in part because they have no concept of Liberty and Morality, but mostly because they ignore the lessons of History; in particular the Holocaust and the Holodomor. They like to tell you that the reason Socialism and Communism fail is because it hasn’t been tried under the right conditions yet. Marx, himself, believed that it would work best in a country that would have been at one time the very seat of Capitalism.
