  • all good makes life worth living

  • what a great version of this song - nice job on the video editing :)

  • I dig the psychedelia craziness in the background fueled by the depressive motto. That's what makes The Damned so loveable. Everything is mismatched and undeniably attractive.

  • the peel stuff always sounds uber-amazing. Very clean with no energy loss IMHO.

  • Too much CCTV in the UK now... Orwell and these guys tried to warn us all didn't they? And you let it happen.

  • LOVE IT! Dave is still hanging about Hemel now and again. His mum lives next door to my mate. Great version of the track. John Peel always did great sessions.

  • happy 50th dave!

  • Nice job!

  • Perfection!

  • Brilliant, one of my favorites of all time.

  • Absolutely fabulous editing amigo. I'm surprised I hadn't noticed this before!

  • listen melody

  • thanks sam !

  • wow, that just blew me out of my chair..brilliant footage, put together to go with a mindblowing track...love it.

  • Quality, best played from vinyl, dont know what one of those is? Look it up.

  • As relevant as ever, more so even.

  • Magick !

  • the dAMNED ARE THE MUTTS nUTs xxxx

  • No Rat n No Brian....So fuckin wot??? brilliant

  • Incredible editing!

  • Once heard, this song never really leaves you!

  • much mightier song than say: "don't stop believin'"

  • I wish one of The Damned would write a book, like Hugh Cornwell did, an interview type biog, Sensible/Scabies/Vanian either of you.

The band are playing to 'Plan 9 Channel Seven' in the end scenes here judging by Rat's drumming, still the most beautiful scene in band history since, maybe The Who. Oh shit i think i'm boring you all.

  • @vegbloke Too bloody right! I`ve just read Hughs book, and thestranglers-No Mercy-About time there was a warts `n all book about the Damned!?

  • @vegbloke

    Smash it Up, surely?

  • Samhain66, thankyou for posting this. I can't stop playing it, it's taken over as my latest earworm. Very clever editing, timing spot on. A sensible firm will hang on to your editing talents. Well done.

  • @vegbloke Thanks fella, glad you like it !

  • @samhain66: Many would-be´s of modern times (i mean rock´n´roll not necessarily techno etc.) should go to their closet + shoot themselves after hearing this.......before needing to "cum out"......

  • Look away 3:11 till 3:14 , i'm sorry.

  • listen to this sort of stuff and the govornment will never defeat you.

  • Different words on the mid-bits........ much better...or are they ?

such the best ever keyboard solo of any track ever in the world, they say Dave Greenfield of the stranglers was good but this is a wet towel in the face to his stuff....

shoobedobe dowa! that's yer lot !!!!!!!!!

nibbled to death by an okarpi....nibbled to death by an okarpi....nibbled to death by an okarpi.....nippled to death by an okarpi....nibbled to death by an okarpi....nippled to death by an okarpi.........

  • Yes it is.

  • 'That's yer lot...shoobeedoowadoowa......'

Thankyou so much for putting this footage together, it's truly beautiful, i must admit i look away at times.

    Beautiful uploading, thankyou.

  • The top of the pops version is my preferred....actually i don't know, this is such a wonderful version, such different lyrics, was it a Peel session ?

i definately prefer.... oh i dunno, that keyboard solo is so sharp & lovely

  • This is fukkin incredible : D

  • Absolute genius; one of the best bands of all time. Ground breaking.

  • Captian and Monty sharing the keyboard solo! Nice work

  • true legends

  • This pretty much sums up how I feel at the moment. Thank you for uploading this.

  • Punk The damned. Love Punk

  • funny enough this is so good i feel happy tody

  • nice colors

  • willy wonka soo influenced dave man those lyrics kickass

  • brilliant stuff this

  • absolutely love this!

  • Cheers for the post. First time i saw the damned was on machine gut tour in coventry. I remember that old grey whistle test performance and now i have it! Wicked man.

  • i forgot to mention nice work with the videos by the way!

  • I've got both the Peel Sessions and the Radio One sessions Cd's. I heard the 'Love Song' session on Peel the night it was broadcast .....that version totally blows the Chiswick version into oblivion! Sad the original master tape got 'lost' but a fuzzy version is better than no versionj!
