I freakin LOVE lances. I has gaurd plus 2, auto gaurd, and gaurd boost. I also has every type of lance fire, water, ice, thnder, dragon, sleep, para, and poison. Lance is all i use. Im also lvl 95 which helps lol.

@Mennyparma You can side step if you hold the guard and then very firmly press left or right on the nunchuck while tapping B. Its hard to get right, so you have to practice a bit :P Took me a while XD

Lance is easier to use, not as mobile, pretty good attack, good reach, and the best gaurd in the game. Hammer has lots of combos, you can't block, and you can stun enemies with enough hits to the head. It's all up to your style of gameplay.

can anyone help me my nunchuck keeps opening up boxes and gathering and mining without me shaking it i have to raise it to my ear so it wont do that , is it the game or my controller , i mean other games it works just fine in this game its way to sensitive. but it works fine with my wii classic control pro

@kokman73 It's your nunchuk. It happened to me too, and it's probably because the shaker thing inside is rattled up, so it doesn't respond correctly. The cause is most likely because the nunchuk was hit hard or repetitively. Best ot buy a new one

im a all sns user cause i like my sheild and agility but i think ill start using the lance, still love my sns but i guess for some hunts status lance would bring out my gigginox armor full potential, status up and constitution + 2, and yes took me a while to get it, Char name: Kensei, ID: 77tgg9, Weapons: Wide variety of sns and Status lance ( lance coming soon)

@Mennyparma Hi, yes that was a long time ago when I first started playing. It turns out that you can only sidestep out of an attack. You cannot sidestep while standing still.

um i don't get it how come some time when i try to hold down the a button it just become a single light stab and sometime it charge what am i doing wrong here?

@doujinftw2 Make sure you're holding the wii remote tilted upwards... hopefully that helps.

Maybe your weapon isn't sharp enough, if the weapon is under green sharpness , loses sharpness or hits an armored part of the monster, it WILL bounce off

@powerpro Unfortunately a bunch of weapons were removed from the game. Hunting Horns, Dual Swords, Gunlance and Bows.

Although the Switch Axe was introduced to the game, this doesn't make up for the loss of everything else though.

@electrotran7 Yeah there were alot of good weapons they got rid of, I'm personally a little miffed at the loss of Dual Swords. And although I wasn't exceptional with the use of Hunting Horns, I was still decent with them. That loss hit hard cause I knew people who were really good with them. Love the attack up boost.

not sure if u have played the game (i got it) but if u press - underwater, u do an underwater charge attack. human torpedo. coolest move ever.
