I remember the first time I rode one of those as a kid. I sat at the end and at the highest peak, You like sort of lift away from your seat (maybe it was because I was small) and it's like you're floating for a split second. It's really weird.

I have never thrown up at a theme park before but I have came close once a Disney's California Adventure! Long story short I went with my friend Adam on a 100 degree day and we ate a clam chowder bread bowl for lunch and went on the roller coaster right after that. I felt fine after that but it was in line for the next ride where it hit me

I went to Carowinds (somewhere in the carolinas) and I found a pirate ship ride that was egyptian-based. I found it very horrible, because if you are at the back or front (I was in the front)

you go upside down at one point. Good ride, horrible feeling.

@youdayoudabessst123 Yeah, back and forth or spinning rides seem to make people more sick than roller coasters do. I have hardcore resistance to motion sickness, but the only ride to ever make me feel sick is the gravitron, which just spins around really fast for like 5 minutes.

I was about to go on a pirate ship ride at a place called Carowinds in Fort Mill,South Carolina and Charlotte,North Carolina. I saw it and heard people screaming on it really loud. Then I saw it when upside down I was to big of a wimp.

The hard part about a "pendulum" ride is where you are when it starts. If you swing forward in the beginning you might be fine, but if it swings backward at the start it throws your balance way off. Cars and roller coasters generally go forward so reverse motion is not something we adapt to quick enough.

i once went to an empty theme park, if you can call it that because this was the only ride. there was no queue so i ended up going on it for 4 or 5 goes one after the other. all i can say is thank god the park was empty because otherwise a few people in the seats infront would of got one messy shirt

Here's a tip: Just tense up when you go down because it keeps you from feeling sick. I rode one of these at Michigan's Adventure and I just did this trick. It seriously helps.

No, I've never thrown up on any amusement park ride. I crave spinning and G forces, because I have a hyposensitive vestibular sense. When I go to Cedar Point, I ride from the moment the park opens until the moment it closes. The only time I'm truly happy is on a roller coaster or on a spinning ride. I wish I could experience air time, speed, and centrifugal force every day.

I never gotten sick... on any ride. although i did get pretty close on the last tea cup ride i went on. the tea cups were very easy to spin so i was spinning faster than i ever have on one of those ride... the kind of speed that made it hard to keep my arms from sticking to the cup.... had it not ended when it did i might have gotten sick. i actually had to sit down for about 5 min after to settle stomach. i'm gonna do it again soon as i can afford it haha
