I consider Jim a close friend. And a Good Friend. I wish I could be in his part of the woods to go see the band play. All you in London And Ireland go see the band and support them. Raise your Fist and give a Hell Yeah for me! Craig USA!
Crazy Motorcycle was my favourite. But this will do just fine. Once we asked a mate if he knew what dressed incognito meant and he replied , yes, I wear a cognito to school all the time. (we were 15. Still we never let him forget it....)
un groupe qui ma beaucoup marquer des leurs 1er album first vist en 1985,j'avais le meme look que le chanteur à leurs sorti,la classe style mad max,des bon souvenir!
First heard "Crazy Motorcycle" on a 4-record collection called "Welcome To The Metalzone" from Music For Nations. Still one of my favorite songs, all these years later! Went right out and bought this record! And, last year, bought both Rogue Male albums on CD. I was stunned that they were finally available on CD! Awesome! Didn't realize that anyone remembered them!
They were awersome at Hard Rock Hell Three !! was at the front centre bloddy great to hear them again not heard them in ages the singer noticed me and knew i was the only metal head banging to them and all were standing like statues so salute rogue male and i dont take shit hell yeah...
Of course I was attracted by the Terminator-esque cover art of First Visit back in the 1980s.
Took album home and was knocked out by "Dressed Incognito" which instantly became one of my ten favorite metal ditties of all time. Still is. That rollicking riff is stupendously splendid.
Looked for RM several times here on YouTube but for some reason never found this clip.
Well, I located it today and have played the crap out of it.
The new album is out, I ordered my copy from their website, and it was actually sent direct by Jim Lyttle no less! He signed it too. Its pretty good, and you can hear all the old Rogue Male fury in there, it doesn't sound like GMT which is a good thing I think. Jim says he has a killer lineup now, and theyre sposed to be playing a few shows at the end of the year, I can't wait!
@zepromz They've reformed?!?!?!? I just found this on YouTube, still have this on vinyl and have wondered what happened to them. What's the name of the album?
Album isn't out yet, they are looking at an April release I think. Tour? who knows, lets hope they do, it will be the first time I've seen them since 1986! Damn they were good live!!!
I also just read that Kirky666.......that sounds like a pretty exciting collaberation to me!!! gonna see if i can find that Lp, and lets hope there will be a tour on the back of it as well hey ;o)
First Visit was the only album I've bought thinking "cool cover art" and still love, start to finish, 22 years later. Got a vinyl UK import copy of Animal Man (Music for Nations label - don't think it was ever released in the US, joey) in '89 and, about 6 years ago, a copy of their 5-song demo for a third album, which includes: Motorbikin' (cover of Chris Spedding's 1960s hit), Rawhide, Rogue Male (All for You), On Patrol In the Dark, and Fit to Drop. Demo was better than A-Man and on par w 1stV
Thanks for posting this. I saw it on CH4 but in those days I didn't have a video so couldn't tape it. This is the first time I've heard these songs since that day. It's like going back in time. Cheers.
I found these guys in a clearance bin at a drugstore. It was a casette tape. The price was $0.10 cents. Didn`t know who the hell they were. And don`t know where they come from still. I see this is a recently posted video with couple hundred hits. Now I see who they are. Or were? I liked the tape its worn out now. Good to see someone posted this. If you got other Rogue Male vids please post! These guys can play! I know they are`nt the big time. But they got Balls! Hats off to you! ROGUE MALE....
Utter mentalists, I had some good times at their shows until I fractured my hip stagediving to "Crazy Motorcycle". I was at this TV recording in the invited audience, they carried on playing after the live TV link was cut, and did another 2 songs. I would pay dearly to get hold of that extra footage.
I consider Jim a close friend. And a Good Friend. I wish I could be in his part of the woods to go see the band play. All you in London And Ireland go see the band and support them. Raise your Fist and give a Hell Yeah for me! Craig USA!

First Visit was released in the USA in 1985 on Elektra records, but its tough to find, the European pressing on MFN is easier to get hold of.
