  • Nice Playing Man! I think if Stevie was still with us, he'd be Proud of your version of this tune! Awesome Job Man! Keep on Rocking!

  • mister! this is great. just one question, does the mex strat get out of tune often? its a very important thing for me. sorry for the bad english :D

  • @pumukellll No, mine doesn't go out of tune very often at all. I have an LSR roller nut on the neck which does wonders for keeping it in tune. Cheers, Geoff.

  • duude! this rocks hard. way soulful, yo. cheers. john.

  • @BoscoBohawk Haha. Cheers Bosco!

  • Great guitar work - well done! Thanks for sharing!

  • Sure thing. I'm in the middle of moving house at the moment but will post the settings up when I get the chance. Regards, Geoff.

  • Could we get your settings for this? I have an x3 as well such as lionel and I can't find that tone...

    Thanks!

    Great playing as well

  • @nate4jc4ever Ok, here you go. Im running a noise gate first, Plexi jump lead amp head next with settings GAIN 8 BASS 3 MIDDLE 8 TREBLE 9 PRESENCE 8 VOLUME 5 next is the 4x12 green 20s cab with a shure 57 on axis mic and a medium hall reverb last. For the solos I add a touch of classic distortion with settings drive 35% Gain 50% tone 50%. Hope this helps. Cheers, Geoff.

  • any chance of a break down of your settings . i have an x3 live but cant seem to find that tone ..

  • @4508lionel Sure, as posted above I'm moving house at the moment but will post the settings up asap.

I recorded the guitar parts through the X3 live into my DAW dry and used pod farm to apply the tone afterwards so really the X3 is just an audio input. Regards, Geoff.

  • you are very talented .. great cover ...

  • @4508lionel Cheers, thanks very much. Glad you like it. G.

  • wooow. Good fingers and chops.!!!!!!!!!!

  • @jzf128 Thanks for watching. Cheers, G.

  • Wow, that's some sweet tone! Love your playing. Man, that's some passion right there! Hard to believe that's just your X3 Live and no amp. Wonderful.

  • @senn416 Cheers. Just checked your channel vid. Geez, jealous. :-) Nice set up my man & great playing.. G.

  • Absolutely fantastic! Awesome job as always. You make it all look so easy :-) What a talented and dare I say dashing young man you are. Keep up the excellent work!!

  • @GingerMillgate Thanks Ginger but that sweet talk'll get you nowhere... :-)

  • Awesome!

  • @RalphCervantes Thanks very much. :-)

  • Okay just read your description. So no solid state, but the settings on the pod sounded solid state like.

  • Geoff, very well done. You always out out great stuff. If my ears aren't faulting me your sound is a little thin. Are you using a solid state amp? I guess I'm used to a tube overdrive sound. Nonetheless amazing job! Cheers!

  • @SRV88blues Hey man. Yeah, the sound is thin. I'd prefer my hot rod deluxe sound but getting that thing recorded into the computer is a real pain. Stevie play this quite clean anyway so I'm not too worried. Thanks for the comments my man. G.

  • Perfect, Man !...
