  • Its the type of song where you can really use your imagination & picture everything, I think its great !

  • @kingfisher559 why would you get a negative response? Pagans and Christians should live in harmony ^^

  • aww look at little JB xD

  • we only sang this 3 times when i was at primary :(

then it got muscled out because it was apparently too strongly christian :(

    ruined childhood

  • This is my favourite hymn!

  • beutifull :') , i used to love this song in primary

  • This was our school hymn - I always found it hard to sing then - but I do love it.

  • I remember this song from primary school.

  • I also sang this at school it was about 1975.

  • Wow. Sang this at primary school, and this video makes me feel truly sorry for the many children of today who aren't taught hymns in school....... :-(

  • I remember singing this as a child <3

  • Which is the castle? Is it Bodiam?

  • @tadams67

It's Hever Castle in Kent iirc.

  • this is so magnificent...i'm spechless...

  • I remember this hymn from primary school, i was in ore of it then, even more so now.

  • SO much better than anything of Biebers

  • @tempesttrouble101

"Hi well music is universal...Libara is all so nice bunch of kids...Bieber all so a kid"

only we dnt see Bieber sing nice song this kids do sing... its there choice...

  • Ooh, my God!!

they are so good, so cute!

  • Yes, Ed is definitely still in Libera.

  • Luv Ed!!!!!!!!x

i think hes still in libera!

  • i think the best interprétation of this song is made by ben crawley. however ed is a very good soloist !!

  • I love Ed Day.. He's really cute and very good soloist and choirsinger..

Really love the song to.. Goosebumps..

  • When was this video made? 2005? Ed has grown tremendously as a soloist but it is clear, even in this early solo, that he was great. I'd love to hear him do this solo now.

  • he did it very recently in new york for the riverside concert I think there's a video (sound with pictures) of that somewhere.

  • I loved this song when I was little...

  • sounds sad but my mum used to sing this to me when i was little, i heard it earlier today and it made me reminise harshly. blesss.

  • This music video is creepy but that is what makes it so eye cacthing and so intresting to listen and wacth.

  • ed has a very beautiful voice

  • I remember singing this one at school, during assemblies! Used to be one of my favourites, as I remember :-) It's nice to hear it again.

  • an assembly favourite of mine too ! Always moved me...and to be honest, the memory of all those slightly off-key voices is much better than this, dare I say it...sickly rendition...

  • this is driving me crazy! where have I heard this tune before?? is it a classical piece or something???

  • The melody is the same as the Christmas carol "How Far Is It to Bethlehem," also known as "Children's Song of the Nativity." It's an English traditional melody.

  • ah that was it! thanks violet2710

  • Come on Songs of Praise allow them to do some more videos, with a bit of roleplay like this one

  • I used to sing this 35 years ago at shirland primary school with miss kyte and mr alann can anyone relate lol.

  • libera is the best

  • sorry, that posting is in the wrong place and doesn't refer to the one below it!

  • balthazar132 this was filmed at Hever Castle, Kent - in October 2005. The castle is open to the public. Libera had it all to themselves for filming!

  • jolie voix, c'est l'un des groupes de choeurs que j'apprécie.

  • Brought a tear to my eye - this used to be my junior schools school hym we used to sing it in assembly.

  • Islam first attacked Western civilization in the 7th century, and later in the 16th and 17th centuries. By 1683, the Moslems (Turks the Ottoman Empire) were literally at the gates of Vienna. It was in Vienna the climatic battle between Islam and Western civilization took place. The West won and went forward. Radical Islam lost and went backward. Interestingly, the date of that battle was September 11. Since then, Islam has not found a way to reconcile with the modern world.

  • Conditioning of Europeans and Americans to view judgment as being wrong in the name of Political Correctness. The Politically Correct nation is no longer discerning, no longer able to accumulate evidence, connect those things which are related, and form reasoned conclusions. They have accepted a crafted mirage in its place. Media's perceptions, deceptions actually, have shaped an illusion.

  • oh do get a life dear!

  • Filmed at bodium castle, am i correct?

Recognise the architecture. A rich man's house disguised to look like a castle.

  • I have no problem with that! If I could disguise my house to look like a castle, and yet retain running water, electricity, and Internet connectivity, I CERTAINLY would!

  • Beautiful! Personally I like this better than Ben's version, but both are amazing.

  • i used to sing this in assembly when at junior school in south wales it brings back wonderful memories

  • Who is this guy? I'm from uk. Love this !

  • This is Libera (you might have know that!) and the singer is Ed Day!! This was a couple of years ago, but Ed still sings this song in concerts!!

  • Wow... when he has a good hair cut, he is such a cute little kid with an amazing voice!! :)

  • yeah when his hair doesn't reach his shoulders lol :D

  • Ha ha, I know!!! This is a pretty good haircut though!! As far as Ed's haircut's go....

  • Beautiful singing but Ben's version is still better! Anyway, I like Ed's voice.

  • Wow, I love it, that was amazing, revives something in me I've kept buried for years.

  • beautiful. omg im crying now *sniffle*...

  • this should be the new national anthem, couldnt help thinking this would motivate any national side, even the football!!

  • What a top idea!! This has been my fave song since a kid - very inspirational. So, how do we get this to be the national anthem?!

  • I haven't heard this song since primary school In fact, I'd forgotten all about it until now. The words are more meaningful listening as an adult. Beautiful singing.

  • Please click my name and watch my video piano version of this song!!!!!!!!

  • Aww I love this song, gives me goosebumps now, such nostalgia...

  • I love this from schooldays cos it used to trip me out.Love it.Surreal & a touch abstract for a hymn.Ace

  • Ed Day is an amazing singer. I think his voice has gotten even better from this video to now.

  • certainly his breath support and phrasing are much better now. Pronounciation too, but you can hear touches of his english accent in the beginning, which is cute :)

Considering that I think he was much younger than Ben when Ben did his version, Ed did rather well.

Does anyone know how old he is here?

  • The 2007 Version, still with Ed Day, is marvellous. He's improving steadily from great to greater!

  • in yr 3 i first heard and loved evr since

  • Very nice clips and angelic voice.

  • Insufficient support, as in for the soloist when he's singing. Spectacular performance as a whole though.

  • Ed's so little in the recording, it's amazing he sings as well as he does!

  • I am having this at my wedding - pitty the dragon mother-in-laws have yet to be vanquished - perhaps they will take the hint ;)

  • LOL. What part of the ceremony did you have this song played? And congratulations!

  • lol it wasn't in the church's hymn books anymore so had to pick some other songs instead - but still we had a great day thank you.

  • that was brilliant!

  • i cry listening to them

  • Very well done, Angelic do doubt in my mind!!

  • Ed's voice sounds so sweet and innocent. Beautiful and meaningful lyrics too.

  • Angelic.

  • I like Ben Crawley's version better. Still good. But why must they redo songs that aren't even that old?

  • This is my fav of all Libera's songs.

  • Where can you go to watch them in person? I'm in desolate 'yomin'.

  • wicked vid ive met them in peron and they are much better live would like more vids plz :):)

  • excellent video would like more

  • Beautiful. <3
