Spamming cyclone of chaos has got to be the dumbest idea ever - you can't block the basilisk's next attack in time due to the duration of that attack. Try god mode. One fire breath would reduce u to 1/10 hp, and a normal bite = 1/5 of your life gone. Now that's real godly fun.

when ur in the underworld u find the Gauntlet of Zeus (this happens after Charon kills u for the first time) then u escape with the Gauntlet of Zeus and fight Charon again.

I just parried some magic at Charon during that stage where he shoots that beam out his eyes. It works on getting his health down and you should have enough to get him when he's in the air.

I did it in god mode with the gauntlet, and didn't get touched...just wait till hes done swingin then standard punch him, it stuns him for the next 2...when he does the green flame thing just run in circles around him and punch him while he's blasting out the green... as for the shock waves, just jump and then smash him any old way (I prefer to save up beforehand and max out the gauntlet immediately so i do the L+triangle in air smash)i know this was unprovoked but hope it helps anyone watching.

everything is a lot easier from here on if u unlock the 3rd level on zeus gauntlet. just use the combo X+X+L [ ](square). which does this jumping lighting pound onto the ground which like hurts everyone. really effective. it comes in handy after u beat charon. when u have to fight all these enemies.

I finally beat it! First attack the minotaur's armor with the Gauntlet, then corner him and use Efreet about two times then finish him. Then jump and press L+Triangle when a ton of the bats get together, then just attack the fire soldier when they're spawning. I beat Challenge of Hades already =)

I beat all 5 challenges of hades, the last one is to kill all the enemies, no time limit but the fight itself lasts atleast 20 minutes. if you get killed you start from beginning. If you beat this you unlock the God mode and other costumes.

Um I think it only lasted like 5 minutes =( And you get God mode when you beat the game once and you only get the McKratos costume. Also the Lost Levels video. Have you seen it? Why did they cut off that two-headed turtle =( Lol the McKratos costume is funny, it says I am McKratos.

I've tried this. Though you have the Gauntlet of Zeus, the pillars won't break until you actually "acquire" it in the game. You can still break the gate outside the fight though, and the blades in that round room right before this, oddly enough.

you can not beat him the first time, you are supposed to die, then go to tartarus and finish everything there and get the gauntlet of zeus, with the gauntlet, you can smash the pillars.
