Como dices, 4.7 puntos de "Windows experience" es un buen dato, aunque es predecible. Me interesa más cómo funciona en la práctica y "la vida real" (un hecho que suele omitirse en los review pues éstos se atañen más al first look). Supongo que tu loading es lento porque tienes mucho crappy software en el background y un mal antivirus (MacAffe).

Tengo Vista Business para jugar y el Kubuntu 7.04 que uso normalmente. Tardan 40segs y 48segs respectivamente en bootear. Por cierto, el antivirus que uso en Windows es Nod32.

Me gusta mucho la idea de partir el disco e instalar Linux. Por cierto, creo que Dell tiene todos los drivers para ese efecto... ¿Cómo hiciste la prtición: con software especial (Partition Magic), con Windows Vista o directamente con Ubuntu? Claro, si vas a virtualizar, necesitas más de 2 GB, aunque dudo que con "Wine" puedas montar todo el catálogo de programas para Windows (aunque he visto que muchos Adobe funcionan). Los drivers en Windows me dieron algo de dolor de cabeza, algunos no estaban para x64, y por supuesto no detectaba las tarjetas de red al formatear.

En Kubuntu 7.04 solo necesité el de la gráfica, en la web de Nvidia; el fingerprint también va por su cuenta, además de que es bastante lioso.

Y cuando digo máquina virtual digo VirtualBox, que corre un Windows (o el SO que instales) completamente.

Wine de todas formas no está mal, y lo usé un tiempo para el Photoshop también.

Más allá del incidente del fingerprint y ese ruido de fondo de mierda, ¿qué tal el rendimiento del equipo? Me interesa editar video y algunas aplicaciones gráficas. Tu configuración no es la estándar y claro, 3 gb e incluso 4 son innecesarios, sí creo útil los 2,2 ghz. Finalmente, ¿es lento porque el wifi catching tarda un poco? Si le borras algún componente del inicio de Windows es posible que ni puedas abrirlo, así que mejor reinstala esa mierda.

He de decir que cuando te acostumbras y usas el fingerprint funciona perfectamente xD

El rendimiento es excelente, como podrías esperar, no sé que decirte, lo hace todo rápido... aunque al ser tan fino se te puede calentar fácilmente (por ejemplo en la cama); mi experiencia con la edición fotográfica se limita a Photoshop, que uso en un Windows XP montado en una máquina virtual desde Linux, donde los 3Gb ayudan.

Lo formateé y lo quité TODO, funciona.

I played Crysis at 1280x800, medium settings, no AA, just fine. But you know Crysis is just a weird game, it isn't that good. All it's fame comes by the graphics, and if you don't have two 8800 SLI forget about it. I mean choppin palm trees with a gun is awesome, but whatever...

Bioshock (Biohazard?) runned at highest, 1440x900, without problems, but I haven't really tried it beyond the first 30min, sorry.

Sure, 1Gb + 2Gb is like 1Gb + 1Gb in dual channel, and then another 1Gb.

Well the thing is with 3GB your're only having 1Gb in dual channel, and the the other as usual. It would have been very nice to have a 4Gb, in dual channel.

T7700 is 0.2Ghz faster, that's always good.

i bought this computer 1 month ago and i can say that i love it my computer specs are the same 3ram core duo 2 250 hard drive blah blah.. its preatty interesting that your first boot took you a while i didnt happened to me... but super awesoe computer <3 lol

Si, con la 8600M con 256mb GDDR3 (una de las mejores tarjetas del mercado para portátiles) se puede jugar perfectamente a casi cualquier juego.

El que más recursos se me ocurre que pueda necesitar, que es Crysis, se puede usar sin problemas a detalles medios con una resolución de 1280x800.
