I love how the red contender can't get up the rope to save her life, whereas The Blue one, who was way behind, gets up on her FIRST TRY. Im almost ashamed to be black.
i dont really like teh american gladiators, just the old uk series and the new austrailian and uk series are alright , but i guess americans like it because its made in an american fashion. the new uk version should have recreated their version completely seperately of the us one as it was the most successful series out of all the countries originlly.
For those commenting negatively about the girl in red, I'm surprised you are because you don't have the guts to go and do that, so why insult her?. It was cool how Venus made a comeback but still, I can't even imagine how hard it is to do the eliminator...
What?? They have a rope for crying out loud!! All you have to do is get to the rope!! At least in the UK there is no rope so it is at least challenging!!
Yep, over here in the UK we've adopted the new American Gladiators style but made it even worse. Atleast the US show seems pumped up. We in the UK should have stuck to the
This reminds me of that episode on the original AG where the guy kept falling over the hurdle-walls at the end, and then the other guy came back and won it diving over the finish line backwards with his hand crossing the line before the other guy's body.
I haven't seen the new AG, but it looks ridiculous to put the reverse treadmill at the end of the Eliminator. That used to be the first thing in the final stage, when the constestants actually still had energy!
But "more challenging" doesn't necessarily mean "better". The course could be 10 miles long and involve a 500-foot climb, which would be more challenging, but then no one would complete it. The point of the eliminator is that the contestants should all be able to complete it, but better athletes would complete it in a shorter amount of time. It's not entertaining to see people fail to complete the course. Maybe once is interesting, but if it keeps happening then ratings are going to drop.
It isn't as if people do not complete it 9/10 times right? Most people complete the UK version but the course is different and they are running the new series sometime in a few months.
its DEFINITELY better having the travelator at the end of the eliminator. i've always watched the UK version, so maybe my opinion is biased, but think about it; at the beginning, both people will make it without any trouble and whatever is at the end will be done easily.
this means that in almost every case (except maybe some small exceptions) the person with the headstart will win. having it at the end means that someone might slip due to fatigue and it makes the game more exciting.
While with the men that was pretty much true, on several episodes one of the women could not get up the treadmill at the beginning.
Fewer came from behind and the person who reached the walls first almost always won. However, sometimes, the leader fell off the log or the hand bike, allowing his/her opponent to catch up.
Yes, girls in America had a hand bike. Watch a women's eliminator from any season other than season 1 (no hand bike for either gender, otherwise simpler eliminator).
Falling off the hand bike did not cost too many contenders, but the log caused the loss of a lead countless times for both genders. The log in the US was much harder to cross than the one in the UK apparently.
dude that "back up" asian doctor who told us 100 times she had a medical background was PATHETIC! her time was a freaking JOKE thank god shes not going to make it.
this was halarious to watch! they were sooo exhausted and the camera angles were awesome to see their faces! haha. thanks for letting me watch it again!
I have athlete friends who participate in obstacle course races and trust me, when the whistle blows all logic goes clean out the window and an athlete just does. Some people say this was staged...trust me, it was not. Koya didn't want to let go and that was her downfall. If she used her head, let go, breathed for a moment and tried again she probably would have made it.

I think the female contenders and gladiators (except for Crush and Hellga) are a bunch of wimps in this show.
They are all undersized and weak. Most Div. 1 Womens Colege Volleyball players are much bigger and stronger than the wimps on this show (except for Crush and Hellga)

why isn't there a video of when Koya finally makes it and falls through the wall... she takes the most hilarious fall of all time, she looks like a rag doll, its the best... someone up that
Koya had it! Why did she give up like that? Moments like that is what got people thinking that some of the stuff in this show is staged. I doubt it though.
Yeah, Koya's long legs should have gotten her up really easy. Plus she had a huge lead, she could have paused for some gatorade and still make it back in time.
Epic fail. (for the one in red)

the girls dont have a hand-bike though do they?
and i guess that is true, but more people are going to fall at the travelator, rather than a slip on the hand bike or whatever.

The eliminator isn't that good this season.
1) the hand bike is impossible after going in the pool. Make the pool later
2) you need time penalties for falling off the bike and the spinning log. It's just quicker right now to jump off and get back on the ledge.
though I guess they'd correct those things next season though.
