  • @MeSezSo Surprisingly, those are his back muscles. Those back muscles are directly related speed and power of a person's punch. Bruce Lee must have been a freaking monster with muscles as lean and power as that. As to how to get them, there are many ways but the easiest probably would be to go to a gym.

  • @MeSezSo Well, you won't be badass or famous if you just get ripped in a gym. Probably the only way is to become a successful actor and a undisputed UFC champion or other MMA organization at the same time. Good luck with your dream. If you're going to learn martial arts, I suggest doing a traditional martial art FIRST and get extremely proficient at it while at the same time do strength training. Then cross training in a MMA gym. Watch out for Mcdojo's though they'll just steal your money.

  • @HardikG121 Lee actually has a lot of muscle mass, it's just piled onto very fine bones , as can be seen by the deep "valley" created by his forearm muscles. He'd be much skinnier if he didn't train.

  • @HardikG121 Muscle mass =!= strength - the muscles may not be as defined as bodybuilders but they're toned to a hardness tougher than steel.

  • He did low reps (8 reps) with high weight for the major muscles only (Biceps, Triceps, Forearms, Shoulders, Chest, Upper Back, Lower Back, Abdominals, and Legs)

    he did that for strength

    After about 1-2 weeks of doing that, he did the same exercises with alot of reps (20 reps) with low weight with fast motions to increase his speed and overcome the slowness of his past workout.

    Then he went back to strength again, and so forth

  • punching doesnt work your lats/back at all... it works your shoulders/chest. Saying you can see it contract is like saying you can see your tricep contract when your arms are extended doing bicep curls.. your not actually working the tricep, its just a complementary muscle that must move with it though carrying none of the load.

  • While it doesn't work many muscles, it does, however, use most of the muscles. The punch depends on your entire body, to clear a misconception.

  • punching actualy does work your lats, but it depends hw yur punching, boxers use their back muscles to punch too to get a stronger and faster punch.

    No doubt, but body builders have very little in the way of practical muscle training. It's for show only. I can't even visualize a body builder trying to do something like a spin kick or doing full on sprints.

  • @chirpieguy I see what your saying but practicality is subjective. Bodybuilders do multiple shows a year and if your saying you get into fights multiple times a year where you need to do a spin kick, for example, you are doing something wrong. To each is his own I guess.

  • do you do lat pulldowns, really has it been months and no result atall, i been going gym 3 months i do latpull downs and other excersizes i cant see any result , i guess it takes either more time, or more weight,

  • hey man, do 4 sets of 10 ...i weigh 175 and pull 100 pounds...your last set should be quite difficult...workout everyother day...never stick to the exact same routine and never cheat.oh and always vary body parts each weight session..also use protein supplements and glutamine....i guarantee this will help...

  • i weight 182 pounds, im going through injury i dunno what i did , but what i now do is latpulldowns pyramids, widegrip pulldowns then i do close grip pull downs,, u can really feel ur lats working on close grip, cheers for the tips, my trainer told me botu going to maximum,, he say theres fine line between cant lift cos its too heavy or cant lift because cant be bothered, it really showed what i was made of shocking, dont know my own strength,, but yeah cheers all the best to you too.

  • the funny thing is, he actually shed over 10 pounds of muscle from this movie to enter the dragon, because he didn't like the mass. he weighed 126 pounds with a 26 inch waist in enter the dragon. and he was still ripped as hell. this guy had the best genetics and dedication ever to training. read "the art of expressing the human body". it has all his workout schedules, and they are gruelingly painful.

  • he was 135 lbs when he was at his premium and could hold a barebell at 120lbs straight out for 1 min or a bit longer

  • He didn't use Steroids.. He used a low dose to get his muscles moving when he was hurt from training, but other than that he was all natural.. Strict training regiments.. Intense shit that would probably kill an incredibly obese person if they were to attempt his training..

But oh my God, i don't think i could do half the exercises he does, he really pushed himself and that's how he got such good results. He said for the Lats "it was stupid of me to do good mornings, you just need the bar itself", but i have no where in my house to put a bar lol.

    I'm sorry, but that is, by & large, an incorrect statement. Even in the book his workout records allude to Bruce as having undertaken 3sets of 8-12, and 6sets of 4. He did perform lower rep training. But a bodybuilder primarily works in the 8-12 and higher range after a heavy compound lift, exhausting muscles with large numbers of sets and exercises.

    Lee was simply below caloric maintenance.
