  • flippin 'eck! That's great. Any plans to have a go at the rest of it?

  • Very nice, it shocks you into paying attention to the whole scene! Good job!

  • This is incredible. I'd take my hat off but I don't have one. Will someone take theirs off for me?

  • Very nicely done there.

  • Love the CGI. Definitely.

  • I love the art of mixing new with old, but, like your work, it was successful. Great job!

  • That was truly awesome.A pity it didn't last a bit longer though......

  • Why do I get the feeling Rassilon would have asked for a statue like that? And called it THE STATUE OF RASSILON of course. XD

  • Cool man that looks a lot more like the tomb of the founder of the most powerful race in the Galaxy

  • That was so cool!

Great idea you had! ^^ DO MORE.

  • Nice!!!!!

  • that would be well cool if they used ure idea, great job

  • Rassilon wasn't one for subtlety was he now? :)

  • This is fucking awesome!

  • Fantastic work... very epic! Can I assume this won't be on the upcoming DVD version, though? :( I think it's a terrible shame that hey don't ask talented folks like you to work on these, when so many fans work so hard to make wonderful new effects like this. Seriously, this stuff deserves a heck of a lot more than a single post on YouTube.

  • great editing, well done mate

  • Wonderful - very well done. Please tell us you worked on the forthcoming new version of the Five Doctors...

  • If they ever update the Five Doctors , ide recommend you to the BBC as you would make some scenes more real and ancient looking like what was recently seen in the Sound of Drums .

Cheers , Jason [ Doctor Who One ]

  • bloody awesome!

  • Brilliant... I see what someone meant about the brightness not matching, but if you watch again guys you will see that he's actually got windows or something the top and the lightness comes from the shafts of light he's put in... very nice. Thanks. =)

  • 4000 Million Times better!

  • How did you do that!

  • epic

  • Lovely work!

  • wow impressive!!!

  • Brillant stuff. But it does seem a little off color to match the actual footage.

  • Fantastic! :-)

  • Really good but it does seem a little too monochrome in the matte painting and I'm not too sure about the brightness matching.

  • A very nice clip of it!!! It's lovely!!!

    ~Tegan on OG

  • Very clever and almost seamless :)

  • Sorry, in my haste I forgot to say: Damn that's amazing work!

  • Brilliant

  • This is brilliant. I hope you're saving this for the Restoration Team. I'm sure one day they'll be a second SE, along with the broadcast version on DVD.

  • I really need to learn how to do matte shots. Any tips, tricks.. software used?

  • Yeah- I painted the top bit in Photoshop with a pen and tablet (although the ceiling itself was based on a photo, but with plenty of bits added), then saved as a layered photoshop document and opened in Adobe After Effects and simply placed over the footage. The camera move was added in After Effects. Cheers!

  • Wicked! How about speaking with the BBC restoration team to re-do a whole episode in this style? I'd certainly buy it!

  • Oh wow :)

  • Brilliant work, Emtiem.

  • YEY!!!

that's so awesome... I thought you'd finished with this project...

    anymore?

  • A real thing of beauty-Well done! What with this an Farmergeddon71 it's all coming up 5 Doctors
