@CountRicola I wish I could say the same of your profanity. My God is just as real to me as whatever you believe to be the truth, if not more so. I therefore find it very intolerant of you to deliver hateful, hurtful statements because of what I believe, especially since you present no reasonable reason for me to believe otherwise. Regardless, your opinion is duly noted.
@ceaharps you bet im intolerant...just what your god is, your god says that gay people are to be killed as well as people who work on the sabbath, and thats just 2 examples.
a god that allows so many atrocities to happen in the world he created doesnt deserve to be worshipped, and that IF he exists, god is a major fail.
its just as profane to believe in a phantom as posting religious bullshit on youtube.
enjoy the music but refrain from posting comments about a god in whose name the celts ...
@CountRicola Wrong on both accounts of your first paragraph, if you actually read these things in context. A God that allows people do have the freedom we so cherish deserves worship because that means He LOVES us. I bet you'd hate being a robot, and would rather die than accept that fate. Are you going to hate God precisely because He DIDN'T make you a robot?
@CountRicola Look, buddy, Freedom-of-Speech, here. I will boldly proclaim the wonder and holiness of my God precisely because He IS God. I will do so, however, using speech that wouldn't make your mother wash out your mouth with soap, and I will do so with logic. Since you offer no logical reason for me to be silent, I shall say no more to you unless you are able to discuss this with a level, cool head and a civil tongue.
@ceaharps look, im not your buddy, you deluded person...and the reason why "i dont present you logical reason" is that for your type there is no logic, only faith (the exact opposite of reason). a god that allows killing the innocent is no logical reason for you??? damn, you are so blind...but ok, you are right, freedom of speech, isnt that a great thing, works for both of us. im no robot, because i use my brain instead of dogmas and childish rituals....have a nice life with your delusion...
lol...Um The Celts did live in more places then The British Isles. Much as I love Irish Celtic Music, it kind of drives me batty how much of it there is....but, I am so glad Celtic music of other lands is coming out, and making beautiful music.
@starmaiden26 True, the Celts once ruled from the Isles down the Iberian Peninsula, over parts of modern day Italy and Greece, stopping only at Germany.
However today, the Celts left are the Irish, the Scots, the Welsh and the Bretons.
Wahrlich schön, wo die Sonne den Mond berührt , wo das Leben den Tod küsst, wo Geister das Seelenband enger knüpfen, auf grünen Wiesen tanzend, dort harre ich mit offen Armen auf euch.
Old English was a very real language. "The Canturberry Tales" and "Beowulf" were written in it. It was a descendent of Old Saxon/Anglish which were old germanic dialects, mixed with Latin, Norwegian and Breton. I don't about Old French, but I'm sure it was just as legitemate and has a very simmilar history.
It is nor French (old or new) nor "jabberwocky". It is in Breton, a Celtic language (not Irish!).
"Etrezomp, Kelted" means : Between us, Celts.
OK, I have a problem to understand the words, their accent is a bit... strange for me. Anyway, thanks to Omnia for spreading the Breton language in music!
There are still 150.000 people who daily speak Breton. In France, the only language authorised in public life is French. But in privacy you are allowed to speak whatever language you want. So do some Bretons, proud children of the immigrant Bretons from Great-Britain. So do I, as much as possible.
Thank for your interest. I can't give the full names of sites, as Youtube seems to forbid this. Anyway, here is the best site, in "BSG" (brezhoneg-saozneg-galleg, Breton-English-French):
@hanterkant do you know where you can learn basic Breton? Since it sounds awesum and I want to use it for LARP :) Celtic stuff is always great for that!
@kaindrg It's a part of the breton or bretonic group, but the language nearly died out in certain areas. Welsh and Irish and even Gaelic are various offcuts. The breton language still exists in Brittany in France, more than it does elsewhere atm.
You really should not have mentionned that about the lyrics ... Now It's stuck into my mind, I can't hear anything from the song but this stuff about lame people xD
why are u people so mad?!?! its a great band and a great song. and dont say its "easy music" i want to see YOU trying to play that kind of music u would lose^^
you obviously don't understand the meaning of the term "easy music".. it means the music is simple, not much complex.. I love omnia, and the stuff they play is actually really easy music, and that's what I consider beautiful about it..
In addition - their songs are pretty easy to play too, I was able to learn the guitar, recorder/flute, and percussion parts in less than an hour.. still, the quality of music is not in how hard the music is to play..
das haut mich glatt aus den socken.... es ist einfach wunderschön.... total mitreissend man hat das gefühl da mit zu müssen.... es ist mein absoluter favorit von omnia

...Et le Géne généra-al

blackangeloflove666 2 years ago
What I understand from the 1st line of lyrics is:
"Pa reomp al liamm etrezomp-ni, Kelted..."
When we will make the link between us, Celts...
It sounds to me like a call for unity between Celtic nations.
It is usual that French speakers moke the Breton songs, as they don't understand a word. One of the French bad habits. Not important.
