In New York kids can start wrestling varsity in the 7th grade. Nickerson started varsity in grade 7, and he won his first state title as an eigth grader. If there wasn't a clear ruling on 6th graders and less, they'd have kids wrestling varsity in elementary school in New York.
It has more to do with how good Nickerson is? Nickerson took 2nd in the NCAA as a true freshman, the year after this match. There may have been only 5 people in the country at the high school level that could have given him a match that year.
It sure did work. I didn't mean to diminish its effectiveness. The key is hitting that throw by well and the key in that is timing and setting it up. I hope you hit it just as effectively as Nickerson did. Let me know how it went, and if you have any video up post it. I'd love to see it. Good luck.
