Thanks I have plenty more videos to post but at some point I will research these scales and post a few videos on them. I guess I just used a bad choice of words when I stated "the other two variations of the minor scale." I did know that there were many more but didn't really know much about them. I will soon though. You see, many people are benefiting from my lessons and so am I.
ya man im not trying to show you up, your lessons are great! and i wasnt the original poster, i was just letting you know some more minor scales! good luck!
HAHA I didn't even realize that you weren't the original poster. Sorry about that. I did some research on these and it looks like the relate in some ways to the modal system: Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian...Once I'm done posing the catalog of videos that i have which will be over the next several months. I'm going to do a video on modes.
Hey Froggy. That's awesome that you play too. How long have you been playing? What is your disablity? You can e-mail privately on here if you want. Later.
Fairly informative if you are a blunt beginner just looking to figure out notes n positions for scale. I think in this day and age there are a million ways to do that, so no need to adda nother one. IMO it would be better if you picked a scale and came up with some sort of an exercise or a lick that would use the scale in all different positions.
Hi Gateway. That is the intent with many of my postings. I actually have a scale excercise recorded that I will be posting in the coming months. I don't know who is viewing my postings...it could be someone advanced like you or a beginner...so I make sure that everyone has the knowledge they need. You can't teach the excercises before teaching the scale, chords, or whatever it may be.
thanks dude

on the tablature the positioning of the 4th finger on the 1st string is wrong isn't it? It should be on the 6th fret and not on the 7th right?

Probably. You can use any scale for any style of music. I'm not too familiar with death metal though.

nah bro, those are the modes, the "3" variants of the minor scale are; natural, harmonic, melodic.

Dude, awesome. I am a wheelchair bound guitar player too! I use the term "player" loosely, but I'm learning. Thanks for posting this kind of stuff.
