Unknow uhhh whats up u gonna put it on?
Lavar- im listenin to some nice shit right now that u can learn alot from -puts on headphones-
I used to socialize with Jimmy Morgan, Lee's brother. Early 80s it was. Who cares about that, but Lee Morgan as well as this Calvin Massey composition and for that matter racial progress in America are all topics which defy any one person. Enjoy this soulful little song- that's what we all should do.
i got this album a few months ago. it soon became one of my favourite too. It somehow arouses my interest in Lee Morgon's work. I'm listening more Lee Morgan in these days.
This is my #1 Lee Morgan album. Sidewinder and Search For a New Land are fantastic but you can hear Lee still enriched with straight ahead Blues. This whole album is one hard bop tune after another. Why didnt Bobby Timmons ever get the full credit he deserved? Every LP has that one X factor that makes it a masterpiece and Bobby is it.
a friend of mine who died in front of me on september 24th 2009 had this album and would listen to it often. he died the day before my birthday and he's the only reason why i'm checking this song out... RIP freddie
Doesn't get any better than this! Love Lee Morgan but the line-up on this album was awesome! Love Art Blakey's drumming, particularly the interplay between he and Jackie, when Jackie's playing, and I agree about B. Timmons, he was an awesome piano player. Paul Chambers as usual, gives an outstanding performance and my man Lee just brought it all together. I truly love this song!
How do I give this song the highest rating possible? Show me how. Absolutely off the charts even for Lee Morgan. As usual Bobby Timmons is way underrated.
Great! Hadn't heard this one, great find (for me). I am familiar with and quite fond of the Pat Martino- Joey DeFrancesco version and the old Don Patterson version of this song. Don Patterson's solo on this song is one of my all-time favorites. Art builds on itself, so it is entirely appropriate for many artists to record the same song. Each adds their own twist and makes it a richer combined experience.
Lavar(me)-la do dahh do dahh..
Unknown- What u listenin 2 bruh?
