Hello Chris-

This was a fantastic tutorial. I do have some questions for you. I switched from a Blogger site to Wordpress. When I had the blooger site I had about 75 followers and once I transfered to Wordpress, the followers did not follow. I just want to confirm that Wordpress doesn't carry that sort of info over. My second question is that I am trying to post "blinkies" on my blog, but when I try to do it via the plugins, it does not work. Can you offer a solution? Thanks

Excellent tutorial on how Wordpress works. The templates coming out today are so customizable it is crazy. If you learn a bit of CSS you can have incredible sites just using Wordprss

If you are new to this and want to make a basic site to see how it goes, I would suggest using Hostgator. They use Cpanel so you can load Wordpress in about 5 seconds. So easy.

You can Google and get a coupon for .01 hosting for first month. I used coupon code 'MYPENNYHOST' for my last account. It may still work.

This is an EXCELLENT video. So VERY clear! I do have a question. I have a blog where I showcase Handmade Cards that I create. I have tags that I include with the supplies used to create the card. When I am o the homepage of my blog, these items are listed there in the CATERGORY section. I don't want that there. How can I change the items listed in this section? I remember watching this tutorial a year or so back and at the time most of what Chris was saying was completely new to me. Watching it again was cathartic as it made me see how much we learn over time without even being aware of it. This is a very good tutorial because Chris shows that you can learn as you go and not worry about it. He has such an easy way of explaining the main features of WordPress and his love of what he is doing shows throughout the tutorial. Well worth watching.
