If you want the song go to google and type in this "download start by SCANDAL from star ocean: Second evolution" exactly like that, you'll have to do some searching to find it, i found the song on a page with a lot of weird looking symbols on it.

Awesome trailer, and awesome game. I own the Japanese PS1 version, and I love every bit of it. I'd love to get my hands on this remake, but unfortunately it's on PSP, and it's virtually the only game I'm interested in on that console... T_T
I think the song is called [Start] by Scandal? then again I only saw it on the video I just assume thats the name of the song by the group, it might not be.
I kinda hope they've reworked the sprites a bit, I mean, it's weird seeing Ururun a different color in game and in that pic, and seeing Dias' hair a different color in game as well, I just hope they look a lot more like their anime pics.
why does rena look like she's literally 5-6 years old?..n they shouldve kept claude's hair length the same as it was in the original. sometimes i dont understand why itz so hard to keep to the original of something YOU created yourself.
newayz, anyone talkin down on the star ocean EX anime, if youve ever seen the ending animation in the game (which is the only time u ever see the characters in an FMV)you'll appreciate the animations of the anime
ok people seem to be missing the point between the psp game, the ps1, and the anime
first of all the anime was based off the game yes BUT look at the time it was made OF COURSE the animation is gonna be horrible also there werent that many changes but either way it had to be done and i think it ended the way it did because they prolly wanted to make a season 2 but considering ppls opinions they prolly decided not to 2nd the psp is a REMAKE the anime is not suppose to be anything like it!
I forgot to mention this, but Claude's narration here reminds me of narrations from some Gundam series, such as Tohru Furuya (Amuro Ray) making the narration in Gundam 00.
Star Ocean EX is a disgrace to the game series. The problem isn't the concept of an animated series based on the game, but rather the way it came out and handled. If the director was someone like Yoshiyuki Tomino or any Gundam/mecha series director, I think it would do justice to the game.

It doesn't seem very clear to most of the people that are watching this so I'll tell you that Star Ocean Second Evolution PsP and is a remake for Star Ocean the Second Story and has nothing to do with Star Ocean EX. Star Ocean EX is based on Star Ocean the Second Story but alot of the storyline was drastically changed, alot of fans of the game are not fans of the anime and don't think the 2 should be compared to eachother.
Claude is voiced by Daisuke Namikawa (Gundam 0080). By a strange twist of fate, he and Yuji Ueda (Claude's VA in Star Ocean: The Second Story) are both in Gundam 00 as Michael Trinity and Billy Katagiri, respectively.
Rena is just so cute and sexy, thanks to her lolicon redesign and Nana Mizuki (Naruto's Hinata Hyuga and Nanoha's Fate Testarossa)voicing her.
the animation of it is WAAAY better than EX and they make rena more useful during the battle compare to anime series. icant wait the game comes out and i cant wait starOcean 4 to come out too.
well in star ocean ex the story is pretty good but 2 things thats fucked up are, very bad animation movment and the series only goes up to the events of 1st disk of the game star ocean the second story. oh yeah and the coloring are too fruity and the chars look alittle funny
lol, its sad because 3 years ago i bought star ocean 3 for ps2 and it was my first star ocean game! the game was very good ,and then when i hear about a anime base on star ocean2, i was exited and WASTE my fucking money on the whole dvd box set of the series. after i watch it, the story was good but all the above is pure garbage!
I never found Star Ocean EX to be bad, I rather enjoy it, it is a funny light hearted anime like Ragnarok, it's not comparable to other animes, but I think it's awesome. The game is of course better.

They changed the characters imagery. Its just my personal opinion, but I think they made Dias-sama look too soft :/ and Rena too young.
I just hope the voice overs are good, and that they kept the side missions and 80 different endings.
