And I still can't get good frames during thunderstorm or high scenery. Could you tell me your PC specs for FSX, or could you tell me which one's short in capacity, so to speak?
I first thought of the video card, but lately I've been thinking that a better CPU might do it, since rendering good frames means being able to process more, doesn't it?
More info: More aircraft are given holding patterns untill total safety on the ground is assured. Gorund operations well, their are more vehicles on the ground, more airport ground traffic and of course lots of delays. Their is more information but as I am not partically an expert in ground operations during a blizzard I can only tell common knowledge. I hope this anwsers your question.
Thankyou for your comment David. I beleive Birminghams ground crews work harder keeping the airport running, clearing the constant danger of snow and ice on the airport grounds partically the runway. I know that ATC moniter the conditions surronding the airport informing aircraft around Birmingham of the conditions they may face and asisting them to safety. People work harder, aircraft consume more fuel as anti-ice has to be constantly on. The rest is pretty obvious.
Many thanks. Sounds similar to road vehicles where they consume more fuel because the heater fan and lights are on. The councils doing the equivalent of clearing the main runways! I guess planes aways have to be ready for ice because they may fly from hot to cold climates in just a few hours. Cheers
its a bit of a fail as first there was snow on the ground and then it all disappeared :L

So, this is what I've got:
Core 2 Duo E6400 2.13 GHz,
8 GB DDR2 800 MHz,
ATI X1950XTX 512 MB GDDR5,
Win 7 x64.
And I still can't get good frames during thunderstorm or high scenery. Could you tell me your PC specs for FSX, or could you tell me which one's short in capacity, so to speak?

Yeah, at the very beginning I thought that upgrading from 4 GB to 8 GB might do the work :))
I mean, come on, it still won't work with 8 GB =))
