@rockthecatbox21 We're biased here at Venom, but if you search the forums online I think you find that a majority of users prefer the Venom VMX 450. Larger scale, more robust, way more detailed and scale, waterproof electronics, etc. Clint

got one yesterday, used at local park on grass. second time out gyro stopped working! removed and disassembled rear wheel to find the gyro gears teeth are stripped clean!! part number 0483C. not happy! is this gonna happen all the time?!

@zzoohhaann Sorry to hear about the gears. We've found from mass production that if the gears are not set right they are stripping prematurely. We are offering free replacement gears. Future production we are changing to all steel gears. For you we can replace free of charge with nylon plastic for now (all we have in stock) and as soon as the metal ones arrive, we will send you a free set of those too. Pls email customerservice@

@spankydangler The natural force of the internal wheel gyro is very high. We do not know for certain either way if it is possible or not to pull off those stunts but the VMX 450 is very maneuverable and it could possibly do it. We will be trying those tricks and more and posting videos as we go. It’s so new we are learning about its full capabilities also.

@spankydangler Turning - The VMX 450 uses a direct steering method instead of a parallel link system which is more commonly found on dirt bikes.. The triple clamps holding the forks are stabilized with a steering damper incorporated into the steering linkage directed by the servo. The VMX 450 uses a counter steering technique just like full scale motorcycles so in effect turning the transmitter wheel left will make the front wheel turn right.

Needs more dampening in the rear, why its wiggling around so much. I am guessing it is set up that way for traction but being that springy will mess up other areas of the handling.

@Atheistprimate You are right! Good eye. Our R&D Dept. begged us not to show this video as they knew we would get comments just like yours. Really R&D was just testing some internal gyro modifications and we didn't want to miss the opportunity to get some video since dozens have been asking to see the bike in action. The bike has heaps of tuning options and can easily be dialed in to any terrain/conditions. Thanks for the comment!

@Atheistprimate Also.. the bike wiggles because that's the rear end losing traction and the self-centering steering trying to compensate... considering the slick, rocky, and generally crappy surface the bike was running on, it did pretty well... now I'm sure on a groomed, moistened, actual track, the bike would do 100% better... I know my ARX540 does.. give these bikes some rear traction and there's nothing like them... on grass they are a blast
