i made it bad is not you's or my fault but i have to take out my mac's hard disk and put it on my g5 to fix it copying the file again into where it was my mac almost die forever! (it happened on another video not on yours but it tells exactly the same).
I just wanted to let you know that I can confirm your black menu bar mod still works for 10.6.3. In fact, I didn't have to re-install it or anything - the move from 6.2 to 6.3 didn't touch those coreservices files and my black menu bar was still there when I logged in.
As for VitureDesignNZ - it sounds to me that he modified the wrong files or is using a different version of OS X (most likely Leopard). His symptoms sound as though he's using Leopard rather than Snow Leopard.

I would like to have the default airport icon (the fan) instead of the 4 bars - but in white of course...which file would I need to modify? Would it be the .pdf's buried deep within the "airport.menu" file? Would this be a simple inversion in PS (I have PSE actually)?
open the backed up airport.menu (original one) - show package contents - contents - resources. open with illustrator: airport0 -> airport4.pdf, airport error, airportmonitor, airport network, airportoff, airportwarning. select the shape within the picture, one by one, goto edit - edit colors - invert colors. it will become white. replace and repair permissions. restart.

Yeah I did, I am using 10.6.2.. what happened was when I made the changes, the top menu bar wouldnt show up at all, and when I tried to launch any application it would just crash..
you just said it screwed your leopard drive. leopard is 10.5.x. but its not really worth doing in my opinion cause it makes it hard to read some of the stuff in the bar. best to just get you backup and avoid. looks cool but if youre wanting to customize os x, then youre gonna screw something up cause they release updates that will cause it to screw up. if you want to customize, theirs windows and linux for that. i lean more towards linux but thats just me.

yes, it cannot be made black. that's why i included that bmb.pnd to add on top of your wallpaper. that will make the menubar seem completley black.
