Anyone notice the SKIDPLATE under the wrecked KITT after KITT got turned over on its side from that missle's explosion? if that skidplate like those didnt run entire length from front to back under those stunt cars,those Hollywood steep streets would punch through underside,Jumping cars is easy,ITS THOSE LANDINGS you gotta look out for !
i liked them both, bonnie seemed more mature, whereas april was more juvenile imo. well anyway i was just a little kid back then and bonnie was like my dream woman, like the end of the world for me. :)
KR is all about true friendship---how far would you go to help your friend. And notice the music at commerical breaks--mysterious and sort of dangerous as someone is out to get the gang but we will find out what happens after the break.
And each eppie of KR had some villian trying to break up the comradery between them but somehow good old KITT Michael and Bonnie outsmarted them and stayed forever a family.
And noticed how KITT says "Devon's calling"--KITT was Michael's caller ID..and protector to him as well as his friend. And Michael's smile as he enter's Margo Sheridon's house-his smile almost looks fake as if he is on guard..is Margo realy intrigued by Michael..or is it a set up to kill him.
It seems to me like KITT was always the child that Bonnie always wanted..how she is so kind to him and wants the best for him. Always wanting to make sure KITT is safe. And Michael is like a brother to Bonnie. Like KITT may have been a car--but he was very much a human child looking for a couple to love him. That couple was in fact Michael and Bonnie--and Devon was like a father to both Michael and Bonnie and KITT was like a grandson to Devon.
I'm for Bonnie. April is not as kick ass as Bonnie. Besides, Bonnie could play Micheal's foil for the whole show if necessary since April couldn't for some reason.
One good thing for April though is her invention of Kitt's Aqua mode, but she quickly removed it after the episode.
I love seeing all the old 80's shows in that kind of drabby, blurry original way, as it was broadcasted on NBC and USA Network. Makes you (or me anyway) feel as if you're watching it for the first time again, but back when it first aired in the 80's. But why open Part 2 of this episode with KITT being destroyed? That should really of been the cliff-hanger ending to Part 1, like "Goliath".

Really, the only bad thing about this show (imo) was the crappy covers of popular songs that often peppered the background... I know that copyrights really limited shows over time, but it would have been MUCH more authentic to just hire some hack to write mindless tunes to be recorded for the soundtrack.

They let to kill him too easy. KITT had a perfect opportuninity to initiate a crash and wreck an attacking car.
