  • That's a very easy question to answer, because god doesn't exist, never has, never will.

  • God does put an end to our misery. It is called (by us) death. In reality, it is the beginning of a new and wonderful that never ends.

  • What is the first song on this video?

  • It's hard to prove that leprachauns don't exist. It's hard to prove there's no god. But it's easy to prove the Christian God doesn't exist. It is logically impossible that any being can have the following characteristics: 1- all-knowing 2- all-powerful 3- actively involved in human affairs 4- loving in nature. 1 and 2 and 3 are consistent. 1 and 3 and 4 can be consistent. But to see evil and choose not to stop it one cannot be loving. Mutually exclusive attributes equals nonexistence.
  • Not exactly. God sees evil and suffering, yes, but as the Bible says, He never faces us with a challenge that we cannot overcome. Suffering and evil is there to help us grow and learn. He's like a parent, basically. A parent might discipline their child and that child will probably suffer through that punishment, but in the end, it's to help teach the child.

  • @Imaginefree69 Decent thought. But not sufficient. Love is not defined according to our understanding. Love is telling my kids no, when they want special treats all the time. Love is letting them feel the pain of their mistakes, and the consequences of other people's poor choices/mistreatment of them. Love is training them to become adults, capable of dealing with adversity. Life is hard. God knows that. He wants us to be overcomers. See Jesus.

"Love is not defined according to our understanding. "

You say this, and then you try to define love with your understanding.

    And you call this rational?

Hell, I'm not picky- let's use the definition of love in your bible-

Love is patient, kind, not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered..

Hardly consistent with the sadistic tyrant of scripture.

"He wants us to be overcomers."

Actually, according to your book, he promises and REQUIRES you to be overcomers. Too bad it doesn't happen in the real world. His people do not do greater works that Jesus. Hell, they don't even OBEY Jesus. They don't overcome evil or destroy the works of the devil, they don't have the obvious love or the compelling unity promised and demanded by Jesus. They don't produce the fruit of the sprit.

In other words, your religion is an empty set of beliefs,
