  • This is what a few bankers should be doing at the moment...

  • i think this cutscene preety much sums up the shimazu excelent warriors that can win any meele fight with their super powerfull samurai but even with all that power they are not invincible

  • @albericosa A few good archers can mop up any kind of melee infantry - no matter how good they are, i say.

Also as epic as it is, it was pointless, human life is precious, no matter the circumstances. Honor may be regained, life cannot.

  • he dishonored his famiry... what a shamfur dispray

  • @gamenode It's not the blood that the games about it's about tactics they released a pack introducing blood/gibbing recently for like €1

  • wtF? did he talk In english?

  • I favorited just for the description

  • Red has Autumn Leaves i go to my ancestors will they welcome me?

  • Shame fur dispray

  • ALL HAIL SHIMAZU

  • Nice Haiku

    "Red as autumn leaves 5

I go to my ancestors 7

    Will they welcome me?" 5

  • Is it just me, or are the defeat videos more awesome than the victory ones?

  • Just to clear things up: Seppuku is ritual suicide performed in order to save one's honor. The person that beheads the victim isn't an 'executioner' of any sort, but usually a close friend to the person that commits suicide. The decapitation is performed to prevent a long and painful death.

  • this game needs blood

  • @thegreatmoustachio

I just discovered this game the other day and have been looking at reviews and videos. That is also something I've noticed. No blood. WTF? All those swords and no blood.

    Fail.

  • @gamenode The game was made in Australia where the highest possible rating is 16+ American games would be just as deballed if the most they could get away with is stuff fit for a T rated game.

  • @greatunknowableevil What the hell Creative Assembly is based in the UK

  • @nelecz1000 I am almost certain that even if they are based in the UK they have a studio in Australia.

  • @greatunknowableevil they are based in uk dude, but think they expanded to australia about a year ago, its only a small studio, doubt they made the whole game, probably some of it for definate though

  • Shimazu: "YEAAA WE DID IT WOO"

    Other army: "REINFORCEMENTS"

    Shimazu: "O fucking great... sigh"

  • I prefer the blaze of glory deaths, displayed by Europeans in the days of old. Though, I say, this is a sense of justice when you've failed your people... even if it is sad... it's just. ;(

  • Aka Sepuku.

  • Red as autumn leaves I call to my ancestors will they welcome me-Shimazu Takahisa

  • How long is that samurai going to wait before slicing the poor guy's head off?

  • @TheJboy88

    Usually until he's stabbed himself.

Or he can be ordered to not decapitate him at all, leaving the man to finish the ritual, which can stretch out for more than 30 minutes if the death is slow.

    :)

  • 0:47 he is like he says : oh shit !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • isnt this also knowns as seppuku?

  • @wtfsaywat its also known as hara-kiri

  • @DerekIsAwesome1494 so are they all the same or are there slight differences i know that with seppuku after you kill yourself, someone chops your head off

  • Well... uh... bye.

  • Yoink!!!!! at the end lol

  • LOL did anyone else see the Haiku in the description? Fucking epic!!

  • COMMIT SUDOKU!

  • Comment removed

  • "Red as autumn leaves. I got to my ancestors. Will they welcome me?"-Shimazu Takahisa.

  • they fought valiantly to the last man.

  • Actually, it's also "AKA What you see around your 5th or 6th turn", or something like that.

  • lol

  • 1:01 "YOINK!"

  • the Daimyo was like "i am the Last man Standing!" then *Army Charging*

  • Epic.. o.0 Just when they thought they win... only to meet a dozen more army charging at ya... It just feels epic when that samurai just stands there as if his gonna prepare for a last stand...

  • Daimyo: Yeah! Move forward men! Men? Oh...

  • @XXGDUBSXX Agreed. If you're going to die, why not take a dozen enemies with you?

I mean, you could sit there in a contemplative manner and gut yourself (honorably so) ...

Or you could die honorably on the field of battle, outnumbered, surrounded, you graced with a hero's death, your foes given a last meaningful lesson in Bushido, followed by a quick demise.

    Everyone wins.

  • Just love the haiku poem!

  • beautifur sakula

  • Hate to make fun of something like this, but his "gasp" when he first stabs himself is just... ROFL.

  • the last Harakiri where performed by a japanese police officer in 2010 Not a shave foam dis play.

  • @kabbinet shave foam . . shame fur. . . SHAMEFUL OHH NOW I GET IT :) !

  • Seppuku is a ritual. Its the way of dying with honor. It will be good if you first read the samurai code then you will know why they commit suicide! If they got caught by enemy army they will be mostly shamed which is way worse than dying :)

  • Id rather die in battle than commit suicide.

  • Is this will happened if......I lose the Campaign.....?!?

  • @jackbladelive I think so i am not so sure though

  • @jackbladelive it happens if your general or daimyo has very low honour as a result of running from a lot of battles or losing a lot of battles. The daimyo or general becomes shamed, and must take his own life to restore his honour.

  • @fowad27 when they take their own life it's called seppuku

  • @BasicsDimensions I know, I just didn't want to confuse the person I was replying to even more.

  • it occurred to me that some might want to know what the process for seppuku is. First you stab yourself about at the kidney then slice open your stomach and then when the one commuting seppuku is at the greatest point of anguish his head is lopped off

  • in case anyone what happens here is a ritualistic suicide called seppuku which is committed so that in death one will retain their honor

  • the shimuze made a epic last stand

  • How is this "lol" in any way...it's epic

  • emm...is it suicide helping?

  • Actually yes. That's the seppuku (harakiri) ceremony - the ceremony of suicide. The one who commits it must puncture his "hara" (belly). As soon as that happens the one above him will cut his head to make it as painless. For the Japanese, the centre of importance of the human body is in stomach (the center). But, a stomach puncture does not mean a quick death, hence the "help".

  • @Chalkaspis I tought that seppuku was done by yourself, thanks.

  • @Chalkaspis The term was 'kaishaku' and it was ideally a friend who would cut off your head before you shouted in shame after making one or more of the three cuts, since making noise would make the whole point of the seppuku moot. After all, real men make no noise when they gut themselves.

  • @weaselninja1206 Right!

  • lol, indeed

  • lol
