It's all the shit that people do with the meat to add more flavour and to bake it in butter/oil that makes meat bad for your diet. Take normal, non-spiced chicken meat. Bake it together with some vegetables, add some natural herbs for flavour, and you have nothing fattening in there, but still a good dish to eat.
My grandparents never once boiled an animal alive. They never once threw a live animal in a meat grinder. They never chopped off parts of an animal before humanly killing it first. They would have been shocked if one of their children or grandchildren ever did this to an animal. I would be willing to be my grandparents were normal, and the intential cruelty towards animals is not normal.

Do you know that when a chicken is killed it muscles and reflexes still function for a while after death? That includes the eyes and movement. Even heared of the phase "running like a chicken with it head cut off"? It's true they can. So what PETA is screaming about could be not true at all, just they don't know anything about animals.

the most "humane" way for chicken to die is natural death... i don't think you want to wait 8 to 10 years for a chicken to die just to eat it. Society today we're looking for the fastest way and most efficient way to do things. You're asking a major corporation who put money and profit first ahead of everything else to lose millions of dollar because of chicken's right. It is nearly impossible to do. I don't know about plants feeling pain. I honestly don't think the science is in on that and I'm not getting on that one until it does. However, I agree...it's not about being perfect or a label. But reducing the suffering we know we can stop.
actually plants do feel pain and tons of animals die in vegetable harvests. and i'm still vegan. it's about reducing the death count as much as you can, no vegan is perfect. but we should all try our best to eliminate as much suffering as we can.

I don't eat at Mcdonalds because of mad cow disease and E.coli.
I get certified humane meat from WHOLE FOODS and the reason why is not
just animal rights but because there is no way you can get health from a sick
animal; I've seen videos of cows going into the slaughter house with tumors
on there faces. Mad cow disease was created by feeding animal by-products to
cows on feedlots. On top of that they feed them: corn with plastic chips and cement dust as fillers and raw sewage.

Cruelty on humans I believe comes because we allow people to harm animals. and allow them to suffer. If we did not allow this i feel there would be less human killing and suffering. We are not saying stop the killing we are saying just do it quick and painless.I belong to peta and i support MOST of what they do and its a free country let us do what we want!

Exactly. I was lucky enough to spread the word a little about this subject this week.
It's also sort of obvious (at the end where the girl talks to the camera) that they aren't really even going for complete vegetarianism, just humanism. That's why I don't see why people keep saying things like, "dead is dead." That's not the case here.

Do you know that when a chicken is killed it muscles and reflexes still function for a while after death? That includes the eyes and movement. Even heared of the phase "running like a chicken with it head cut off"? It's true they can. So what PETA is screaming about could be not true at all, just they don't know anything about animals.

the most "humane" way for chicken to die is natural death... i don't think you want to wait 8 to 10 years for a chicken to die just to eat it. Society today we're looking for the fastest way and most efficient way to do things. You're asking a major corporation who put money and profit first ahead of everything else to lose millions of dollar because of chicken's right. It is nearly impossible to do. Yes I think they should be killed in a more humane way, but you have to look at both side.

Well, You could kill them in a more painless and quicker way and give them a long and happ life before they die. I'm all in for the ethical treatment of animals, but I really don't like how PETA advertises it. I mean they tried to do the superbowl commercial that got banned for to much sexuality, and they were giving out free 'Unhappy Meals' that showed a bloody, evil clown holdy a knife and a dead chicken. It would be okay if it was just for adults, but they were giving them out to little kids.

What a great protest and its great the girl clears out that "we are not trying to make everyone vegetarian" even if i wish it came true :) but its just a stereotype people have with us..... but really its pressure for these multimillion fast food chains to use a humane method of slauther ... were in the time where technology has no limits... but animal slaughter is just as cruel and unhumane as its ben for decades thats sad when theres so much alternatives not even being considered

We should all plan a massive 2 week protest (like with 200+ pple) in NYC against McD's... 3 hrs in each morning, and 3 hrs each night, especially in the areas the chains are most concentrated in NYC.
It'd be a bloody lot of work... but would be unbelievably effective... especially with national attention.

I don't know about plants feeling pain. I honestly don't think the science is in on that and I'm not getting on that one until it does. However, I agree...it's not about being perfect or a label. But reducing the suffering we know we can stop.

actually plants do feel pain and tons of animals die in vegetable harvests. and i'm still vegan. it's about reducing the death count as much as you can, no vegan is perfect. but we should all try our best to eliminate as much suffering as we can.

You dont understand... As with the case of the misguided fool at the end of the video who thinks that human beings are not superior to most animals. We humans have developed in our 'new brains' - in the cerebral cortex - a cognative ability above mos animals. The fools (e.g. the aforementioned protestor) that do not have the mental capacity to realise this are, in fact, the ones who are not superior to chickens.
