@cassiemelvin as far as I know In 1949, Ogden Nash wrote a set of humorous verses to accompany each movement, I am not sure if these are extracts from those verses, but one can only guess they are.
'People with long ears' is apparently taking the mickey out of music critics... and yes, this user does have "III- Hémiones (animaux véloces) (Wild Asses; quick animals)" missing... I was not happy =\
